ABC Animal & Bird Clinic

I called to ask about a teeth cleaning for my small dog, and was told the estimate would be about $375 but I could save 10% if I brought her in for an office visit beforehand. She had tapeworms also so I took her in to have her wormed. They charged me for a $53 office visit and $20 for the medication.When they gave me an estimate for the teeth cleaning in writing, it was almost $800 and included a lot of unecessary items such as a microchip and shots (which she already had). They were rude when I asked about the shots, saying they did not acknowledge owner given booster shots ( I don't do rabies, but the boosters you can get at the feed store and are a lot less expensive to give yourself). I will never go back there. They were very uncaring, wouldn't let me be present when my dog was examined, and I had limited time with the vet. A poor excuse for a vet clinic. more

My dog got an ear infection that was extremely painful. After calling the ABC Animal and Bird Clinic, the earliest appointment that was available was 3 days away, which as any pet lover knows, would be unacceptable to see his/her pet in pain for this long. I asked if there was any way they could see him (my dog) sooner, and they said I could pay a $45 “work-in” fee and they would find room for him today. Well I decided to not bother calling any other vets and just pay the fee. When I arrived at the clinic, there were only 2 other pets there. \r \r The Vet was able to see my dog and the other two dogs in less than 30mins. The Vet easily determined that my dog had an ear infection and prescribed some antibiotics. This certainly did not cause strain on the Vet, yet i still had to pay the ""work-in"" fee. Now why did I have to pay an extra fee when they certainly did not have to work that hard to see my dog. \r Pros: Conveniently Located to my House Cons: Overpriced and Greedy more

I found ABC Animal & Bird Clinic when my daughter's hamster became very sick. They treated us (& Sunshine) with care and concern -not like we were a little crazy because we were panicked and worried about our smallest family member :-) which was wonderful! We have since added a puppy to our family. He became extremly ill after hurricane Ike - we almost lost him - the vets and the staff were so wonderful and helpful during that hard time. Scruffy pulled through and a week later was back to stealing our socks!!:) \r These people are GREAT!!!! Pros: Open early, late & weekends, friendly staff, clean, looks great inside & out. Cons: none!! more
