AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

Hello. My name is Aaron Morton. I recently drove my 1997 Dodge Intrepid into your AAMCO location in Baltimore County. (8709 ½ Liberty Road, Randallstown, Maryland. When I got there I was told that my car would be test driven, and given an evaluation as to what was wrong with it. Later that afternoon, I was given a call and told that I diffidently needed to have my car opened up, and that I needed a soft part overhaul? It would be a minimum of $1400. (The value of my car) They knew this with out opening my transmission up. I was told my car would be ready in two days and that I would be given a call on Wednesday when it was ready. I was told that if I needed any hard parts that they would know immediately and tell me. On Wednesday without any further calls I was told that my car have a list of damage that included a out put sensor, solenoid pack, washer kit, front planetary gear, pump bushing, overdrive hub, and torque converter. I brought my car in because my check engine light had come on and they told me that I needed to have 02 sensors replaced and some new plugs put in for $800 and when I left I thought everything was fine until about 2 1/2 weeks later my check engine light was back on because someone from the shop had taken out my air filter and damaged the air pipe that goes to the engine. I took it back to be fixed and AAMCO acted like they did not know how my air filter had become missing all of a sudden and my air pipe was cracked. I did not have this damage before I bought my car therefore, I believe my car was sabotaged at the shop in order for me to come back and get more repairs done. I drove there for transmission repair but ended up with towing my car back home with transmission pulled out. PLEASE DON'T GO THERE! NO MATTER HOW COMPETITIVE THEIR PRICE SEEMS TO BE. IT IS JUST A BAIT!\r \r The 4th gear of my passat was slipping. The dealer said I need a transmission rebuilt. This aamco offered $1285, which seemed to be a pretty reasonable price. 3 days after I left my car to them, I called them and was told they need $3767 to do the rebuild. The car don't even worth that much. I immediately refused their service but they wanted $800 for taking my transmission down and they refused to put it back!\r I filed a complain to BBB. This aamco never responded. They already had a very bad record, so they simply don't care.\r The staff there were extremely rude. After I refused their service, they treatened to tow my car out and charge me stocking fee. They committed verbal abuse and intimidating body languages all the time. They didn't return my car until I was forced to paid th more
