I've been working with AAMCO of Jacksonville for about ten years now. They service our fleet of vehicles for us. They are always prompt, competitively priced and convenient. Those guys need to be considered because of their quality of work, the value and professionalism, they would be able to stand up against any other shop. more

Was about to sell truck to junk yard...then took a chance and called aamoc...they told me they do free inspection to determine issue...that sold me to give them a shot....it wasn't the transmission itself but something within.....the cost to fix was excellent...had them fix the problem.....runs great now.... more

Customer service they need work. They were great till they knew they had our business then not very professional. The owner was very professional but the rest of the staff needs work on this. I didn't feel comfortable after we went for follow up. The car would not start when we stopped up the road after follow up The battery was loose then it started. more

When you lose a transmission just being without a car and then the amount of a tranmission can stress you out. After dealing with a couple shops, I decide to call the transmission specialist and Shannon calmed me down and explained things in detail. I took my car to them and was very pleased. more

shannon called after work was done to check on how things were. He actually quoted me org $420 and then found out the shifters were less and corrected his quote. Not many places would have done that. His honesty and integrity is exactly why I drove from Ponte Vedra Beach to his facility. He came highly recommended. more

Still waiting to see how the repairs continue to perform, but all in all i have had a good experience with AAMCO and my transmission work. There was some problems with the torqing of my oil pan bolts and i did lose a few, but they were happy to fix the problem quickly and prevent any damage. Trans. work on a vehicle is never a pretty thing, but choosing a reputable service station like AAMCO can make all the difference. Thanks! more

Problems getting in and out of second gear on a Lincoln Navigator with automatic transmission. Took the vehicle to my local car repair guy and was told that I had two options. 1. A refurbished transmission ($3,500.00) or 2. A new transmission ($5,000.00. Decided to look for an alternative solution. After a Google search decided AAMCO was the place to take my vehicle. Contacted them via phone and took my vehicle to their Arlington, Jacksonville, Florida location the same afternoon (a Friday). Left vehicle with them and following an initial inspection was informed later in the day that the problem was inside the automatic transmission and it needed to be removed from vehicle for further inspection. Was informed of cost of doing this and asked for my approval to proceed. Mid-day Monday morning AAMCO called to tell me they had found the problem and told me the parts that needed replacing and their cost. Asked for my approval to proceed. Mid-day Tuesday called me to tell me that the vehicle was ready for collection. I picked it up that afternoon. The whole process was carried out in a very professional manner and I am very happy with the results. I saved around $1,500.00 versus the cost of a refurbished transmission. more
