I think everything at Aamco of Charlotte was outstanding as far as the service went. They told me exactly what was wrong, and it wasn't the transmission, which I originally thought it was. It turned out to be my ignition. They fixed it, but in the end, I felt like the parts and labor were very highly priced. They are willing to help with whatever you think might be a problem, and not charge to give you a quote or if it turns out to be nothing at all. Their prices are quite reasonable and fair. My last experience with Aamco of Charlotte was when I needed to have my catalytic converter replaced. They offered a very competitive priced compared to the dealership. The representative dropped me off at the library, where I was volunteering that day, and picked me back up. My car was ready when they said it would be. I think Aamco of Charlotte is very reputable. It is very important to me that the repairs are completed correctly and the problem does not reoccur. Based on my past experiences, I'll continue to go there. more

I had an odd problem with my car to begin with. The transmission would not shift int overdrive. AAMCO of Charlotte diagnosed one portion of the problem, and when they fixed that it didn't fix the problem, but they backed up and fixed it up a second time without charging labor for it, which was fair I thought, as they should have caught it the first time I think. I was totally satisfied with the work they did. I had a second problem with the car that they detected while they were working on the first problem. It involved a part they had to take off of the car, the motor mount, to get to the part they had to fix, and they replaced it, which charging labor, which was very nice of them. The third problem I had with the car was not a problem with the transmission, but they fixed it very promptly and efficiently. I was totally satisfied with their service. The only thing they could do differently is spend more money on their waiting room so that it is more comfortable. more

Aamco of Charlotte is the best transmission shop in Charlotte, and I've dealt with a lot of shops! I've used them for four of my trucks. They are the most knowledgeable, reasonably priced and great people to work with. Billy was really wonderful to work with this most recent time! I had them redo a transmission with two hundred thousand miles on it. It's perfect, runs great! They told me that it would be done at a certain time, and then called me when it was ready and it was ready when they said it would be! They really have great follow-up too. Aamco of Charlotte was good. I had them put in a new clutch. First of all, they said it would be done the next day, but I had to wait 3 days to have it finished. My most recent experience with AAMCO of Charlotte was fine. I've been to that location two times in the about two months and I have been very satisfied. I called the Better Business Bureau and found they were rated very highly. There are several AAMCO locations in the Charlotte area, and some don't have the best reputation. My wife went online and found that this particular location was probably the highest of the 4 or 5 different locations. They have been very good to deal with, and I definitely would recommend them. more

My daughter's car( Nisan Pathfinder) broke down in Charlotte while returning from the beach to WV with what seamed like a transmission problem. I handled everything on the phone from WV and I felt that I was treated fairly and honestly. Billy the manager was great and very courteous, so was Mike who is the owner. Aamco of Charlotte is always timely. I've had two cars fixed there over the last three years. Billy, the Service Rep there, is really good at communicating issues. They are always able to fix things in a timely fashion, if not, they'll provide rides to and from work or home, which is great for someone with a busy work schedule. You get what you pay for, you're paying to get the work done right the first time. I've gone to the dealers, and you end up paying a large amount of money and most times the issues are not fixed and you have to take it back! I will say this about Aamco of Charlotte, they seem dedicated to finding what the actual cause of the problem is rather than just fixing something to fix something. They really dig around and diagnose issues before starting work. I first brought my car to them about two years ago, after being told by several shops that I needed a brand new transmission for around $3000. They took it in, had it for a couple of days, diagnosed and fixed the real issue, which wasn't my transmission and got it back to me. That, right there, is why I continue to go back to them as apposed to anyone else! I highly recommend them to anybody. more
