I live near VCU and have used self storage in the city of Richmond before. There is this new facility I heard about which is about 1/2 mile north of VCU so I thought I would check it out. I walked into the front office and thought I was at a really nice hotel with a really wide front desk with granite counter tops, high ceilings, bright lighting, music playing and two large LCD TVs behind the front desk flashing pictures from the security cameras. It really had the feeling that it was new, clean and secure self storage facility. The manager greeted me a friendly smile and was very professional. After spending a few minutes learning about what this new self storage facility had to offer, the manager showed me around. In the front office there is a business center, conference room and a retail area with packing supplies. Behind the front office are the storage units with well light carpeted hallways with piped in music playing everywhere. The music playing is a really nice touch in the long hallways. All of the storage units are on one floor in one really big building with several large covered loading areas with keypad entry at each 6' wide automatic door. Out back are parking spaces to store large trucks, trailers, boats and RV's. I was really impressed and rented a storage unit and could not more pleased with my storage experience there. Without a doubt this is the nicest self storage facility serving the downtown area. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.
