Wonderful People that work there as well as Jason and his mom Chris. They have always treated my friends, family, and myself great. We have been going here for 17 yrs. Jason is one hell of a gunsmith. He can repair anything. His gunsmithing is a perfection. Not to mention he is a tool&die maker and has a machine shop in the back of their shop. It's a great place to do business, and their prices are definitely cheaper than the big box stores. Sometimes people give bad reviews because they're an unhappy miserable person! more

Where to start?.. First off don't waste your time or your hard earned money.. Jason and his mother Christine don't seem very knowledgeable with the products they are selling. Secondly their accessories, firearms, and ammo are extremely overpriced. The gunsmithing service they offer are a joke. Their work orders have been on the shelves for months. Bottom line if YOU ARE looking to get raped of you hard earned cash go to A1Gunsmithing. If you want a solid deal check out Gander MTN's ""Gun World"" located in Germantown; They HONOR competitive price matching. If you find a gun cheaper somewhere else They will sell it you for that price the competitor has it marked as; and they actually stand behind their product unlike A1Gunsmithing. I hope you make the right decision and not buy from these chiselers, they will bamboozle you. more

As a women buying her first gun, I didn't know what to expect but I was referred there by a co-worker. They were very nice and patient in explaining things I didn't have a lot of knowledge about. I like to keep my business local as much as possible. It's a family run shop so it was informal and yes, I saw the nail area as well but I didn't care. I would rather get real world knowledge from lifelong gun people than take the word of a retail worker with only a year or two of experience at a big box store. I will return when I need something and I don't hesitate to refer friends and family there. more

Herb51 is right! I've shopped here several times and have overlooked the hodge podge of businesses inside (i.e. nail salon in the middle of guns and taxidermy) because I like to support local businesses. On a recent visit to the store I overheard the owner declared proudly that he doesn't support local businesses whose owners signed the Walker recall petition. He even went on about how he checks the list first and then shoves it in the business owner's face as the reason why he doesn't do business with them. He has the God-and-America given right to believe and boycott whomever his wishes, but so do I. Since my money isn't going back into my community anyway, I'll be spending (and saving) money at Fleet Farm. more

This shop should just close I felt like i was being interrogated while trying to sell them a few guns like they were stolen And was there for over a hour waiting for Jason to arrive and he was very rude then they insulted me to top it off with the unbelievable low amount of money i was offered for my guns 20.00 a rifle I received 15 times that amount for just one gun from another dealer I think he really should just stick to his day job and close the gun shop more

I like this place. It's family run by good people who either stock what you need or they will get it for you. They are a busy shop and repairs might take some time but at least they do it in house and not send it out like Cable's or Gander Mountain. I like supporting the little guy and will continue to do so. It's also convenient location. more

This shop is divided between a nail salon and a gunsmith/gun store. Jason the Gunsmith himself has no real machinist skills-he was given a pistol and a rear sight to replace but could not manage to mill the top of the pistol level. He ruined the sight needlessly modifying it to fit but he still could not fit a sight without it being off on two axis and showing gaps. Worse yet the manner in which he had mounted the sight interfered with a safety device which made the gun inoperable. It took him ten months of at first inactivity and then several botched attempts merely to damage a pistol, and in the end he just gave the pistol back damaged. His staff that is usually at the shop are not knowledgeable enough to assist customers yet the most ignorant (the nail salon lady) was eager to argue about the work done. He himself during this time was difficult if not impossible to get a hold of-the nail salon lady said (after I had been waiting on him between nine and ten months) that I couldn't get in touch with him because he was too busy coaching soccer and later he'll be going hunting. He clearly is unwilling to put in the time at his shop to provide adequate service. Perhaps part of the problem is that he told me he had to work around his boss at his day job.
