While it is nice to get wood delivered, each order of wood is very wet, and some pieces are not cured enough. It simply won't burn without huge amounts of air thus decreasing efficiency of hi-efficiency wood-stoves. It's sad and frustrating to be freezing cold and have a shed full of wood that won't burn. Wonderful service, great attitude 3/27/2011

We've worked with Dean before, and we love the consistent quality and friendly service we always experience. It is a challenge keeping wood dry up here, but by following Dean's advice, stacking the wood appropriately and in a protected place, we've never experienced any problems. This is a quality company run by caring folks. I recommend them to anyone! more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! NEVER WILL USE AGAIN! 12/10/2010

We ordered 1.5 cords of dry fir and specifically asked dean if it was dry because we wanted to burn it this season. he said it was. the wood received was soaking wet and had moss/soil on a large portion of the order. we could not light the wood. we split it down smaller and tried again, the wood is too wet. we contacted dean on the phone for suggestions or a possible return of the wood. he refused to admit the wood was wet, spouted off his years of experience with wood and called us liers. unbelievable! how does anyone like this stay in business. we are now stuck with 1.5 cords of wood that we clearly now cannot burn for at least a season... more

Hissss! That is what we got for our money! 11/1/2010

The wood they delivered is wet and wild. Wont burn without lots of effort. Once you do get it burning all it does is hiss and smoke. When we called the guy to tell him about our concerns he told us to put a fan on the wood to dry it out. Wait? I thought the wood was seasonded and dry. Oh yeah, we already keep the wood in the gargage, he said that we made it worse! Hmmmmm! He also told us that we should take the grate out of our fireplace and burn it on the brick surface. I dont know about you but I have always used the grate in the fireplace without any problems. We were also told to not us kindling on the wood. That all we had to do was put a firestarter in the fireplace and put the wood on top of it and it would burn. more

Fantastic service and great quality wood! 11/13/2009

I had a cord delivered a couple weeks ago (not my first delivery from Dean but good enough to get me to leave a comment!) Dean worked around my hectic schedule and delivered a great cord of wood, I saw there was another posting here regarding wet wood, 1. we live in the northwest and wood gets wet, Dean instructed me to cross stack it and get some air to it and it was great within a couple days 2. He left fire starters for me (free) Pros: worked around my time, great wood, great price, takes credit more

Won't buy again 11/2/2007

Owner delivered WET WOOD. It's taken us what seems like years to dry this out. In the meantime we're COLD. WILL NOT be buying from him ever again! more
