A-1 Coast Rentals Corp

We rented a chain saw from A-1 in Torrance (Jan 2012). I'm disappointed to say the experience was not good. The chain saw didn't work, didn't come with a file or guide, which we purchased ourselves and sharpened the saw so it would work at 25% capacity. We returned the saw the next day and asked for some relief, it took one hour of discussion for anyone at A-1 to make a decision, offering 10% off ($75 daily rental was much higher than home depot), and the attendant basically argued the entire time. We called 2 hours after the original rental to let them know it didn't work and Charlotte said no problem, bring it back for a refund. We had workers on site so could not return until the next morning (within the 24 hour rental period). Ended up giving us $25 back...I'd avoid doing business with A-1. more

these people helped us unload a 4000 lb piece of equipment. Price-wise I haven't compared them to others, but Derrick, who we were lucky enough to get, was great! Really nice and friendly and was nice enough to wait for us to unload. I will definitely call them again if we have a requirement. more
