My experience with this practice was positive...at first.
Then, I scheduled an appointment for my daughter, and after waiting in the waiting room, then in the exam room, we were told that the doctor had an emergency to attend to and our appointment had to be canceled. I understand that OB physicians are on call, but I wish we would have at least been offered to see another physician in the practice, since we had already spent time in the waiting and exam rooms.
Next, I made an appointment for a yearly exam. I thought I had scheduled the appointment early enough...9:00 am. As I sat in the waiting room until 9:30 am, I was getting discouraged. How could the doctor already be behind schedule at 9:00 am??
I went to the receptionist and canceled my appointment, then I scheduled my yearly exam with another physician at a different practice.
I had purposely scheduled my appointment for early in the AM in an attempt to avoid a long wait. I sacrificed time that I was supposed to be at work in order to make it to this early appointment. I find a 1/2 hour wait (and who knows how much longer I could have waited) unacceptable when I was the second patient on the schedule. I don't get paid to sit in the waiting room. I (and my insurance company) am paying the doctor for services.
