A Woman's Place Obstetrics & Gynecology

Although I decided I no longer wanted to be a patient at A Woman's Place Obstetrics & Gynecology, I didn't feel the need to disrupt my daughter's relationship with her doctor there. Well...that was a mistake. I called the office 2 months in advance and scheduled my daughter's yearly appointment. Well, 2 weeks before the appointment date, someone from A Woman's Place called and advised us that my daughter's doctor would no longer be coming in to the office on Tuesdays, and we needed to reschedule my daughter's appointment. What?? So, the doctor could not at least finish out the patient's that were already booked for Tuesday appointment's before she decided she wouldn't come in on Tuesdays anymore??? And that's not the worst of it...my daughter needed a prescription refill, and the office was less than accommodating in calling the pharmacy to authorize the refill!! Now, my daughter is also an ex-patient of A Woman's Place Obstetrics & Gynecology! more

My experience with this practice was positive...at first. Then, I scheduled an appointment for my daughter, and after waiting in the waiting room, then in the exam room, we were told that the doctor had an emergency to attend to and our appointment had to be canceled. I understand that OB physicians are on call, but I wish we would have at least been offered to see another physician in the practice, since we had already spent time in the waiting and exam rooms. Next, I made an appointment for a yearly exam. I thought I had scheduled the appointment early enough...9:00 am. As I sat in the waiting room until 9:30 am, I was getting discouraged. How could the doctor already be behind schedule at 9:00 am?? I went to the receptionist and canceled my appointment, then I scheduled my yearly exam with another physician at a different practice. I had purposely scheduled my appointment for early in the AM in an attempt to avoid a long wait. I sacrificed time that I was supposed to be at work in order to make it to this early appointment. I find a 1/2 hour wait (and who knows how much longer I could have waited) unacceptable when I was the second patient on the schedule. I don't get paid to sit in the waiting room. I (and my insurance company) am paying the doctor for services. more

I've been a patient at A Woman's Place for over six years, including their routine GYN care and their OB care. The four ob/gyns on staff (3 female doctors and 1 male doctor) are all wonderful and attentive medical professionals. The nurses and office staff are very helpful and friendly too. When I had my first child, my prenatal appointments rotated through the four doctors so each would be familiar with me in case they were on call when I delivered. While each doctor's bedside manner is unique, all of them are gentle, reassuring, and capable. All of them patiently addressed my pregnancy concerns and monitored my pregnancy carefully. I have great confidence in A Woman's Place and would recommend it to any woman in the Lehigh Valley. more

This is a great practice that is friendly and informative. I used this office as my gynocologist and then as my ob when I had my first child. I met with all four doctors during my pregnancy and would have been pleased with having any of the four deliver my child. They have a very busy practice but that is only a sign of their quality. They are great about sticking to schedules, especially given their practice area. more
