A Village Groomer

I am sure the owner is the one who responded to the earlier review. PLEASE do NOT take your pet to Village Groomer in Fayetteville, NY!!!!!! The owner is RUDE and is known to be RUDE to the customers and HORRIBLE to the dogs. Do you want your dog brushed hard and until he/she gets brush burn because she's mad you showed up slightly late for your appointment? Do you want your dog to be threatened by choking him/her with the grooming loop?? If you were to go in the back and see the dogs eating paint chips that fall off the kennels... and how long they stay in the drying kennels (which is dangerous to begin with... they should be hand dryed!) You would have second thoughts about this place!!! The owners motto with fingernails is ""If you don't cut at least one dogs nails until they blee then you aren't cutting them short enough"" This place is just awful. Go to a real grooming shop where a crazed english woman isn't going to go all mid life crisis on your dog. Your pet deserves BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: Nothing!! Cons: AWFUL!!! more

I have had the unfortunate experience of getting a behind-the -scenes look at the Village Groomer. Although the dogs, and cats come out looking pretty, and smelling nice, their experience is not even close to worth it. The animal abuse I witnessed is unfathomable. I saw dogs and cats have their heads bashed into the grooming tables, get smashed in the head with clippers, and suffer heat exaustion from being left in the drying kennels for too long. That's just the start. Unfortunately, this abuse was primarily at the hands of the owner/ head groomer, so there's no way to prevent this from happening to your pet, other than avoiding the place all-together.
