I used to buy thousands of dollar at this store every time I came to New York from the West. The last 2 years I did the same paid thousand of dollars for clothes their staff promised were so high fashion, bla bla bla... and everything was destroy and waned-out in first wash. The staff also was sleeping on the red couch when I got to the store ... lol so funny... sorry A Uno you lost your charm. 5 sta more

I found surprising how in new york stores sell very chip clothes(fabric is sucks it looks cheap) in such a high prices, I guess it must be the area. Every single item at this store which but the way smell like stinky food, all the time i was trying on things that I could afford but the quality was so so bad... everything is made in China. This store reminds me of euro trash type of store. ELM I found cheaper in Century 21. more

A Uno and its companion shoe store offer a refreshing assortment of women's styles and designers. While some of the names are familiar -- Marithe Francois Girbaud, ELM, Anda, Gortz, Rostel, for instance, many of the designers are unusual. The Icelandic knitwear brand Elm Designs is one you don't see anywhere else. The clothes tend to be more arty than trendy, so the look is definitely more downtown than uptown. Or rather, more downtown, the way downtown used to be. The companion shoe store (two doors down from the clothing store) offers unusual shoes that are not carried widely, like Trippen, Robert Clergerie, Cydwoq, Tentazione and Yosuke Yajima. The offerings are light on stilettos, and heavy on flats, platforms and wedges. So, if you're looking for an outfit for an art opening or museum show, come to A Uno.
