The Center was an amazing experience. These past eight weeks have been life changing. It was hard, gut-retching hard. But it was worth every terrifying, unsure moment. OUTSTANDING!!! 1/12/2017

I had the most incredible experience at The Center. For the first time in my life I felt properly understood for all my struggles. They took everything back to its roots and showed me how to make lasting changes. Understanding where my struggles came from, how they were my coping mechanisms for a difficult childhood, and then giving me the daily tools and skills to change my negative thinking patterns and behaviours, has given me hope for the first time in my life that I will be able to fully recover from my eating disorder. The staff are kind, caring, patient and so understanding. The atmosphere is warm, caring and very supportive. Everything is run very professionally and I feel blessed I had the opportunity to spend 6 weeks at the Center. It has already changed the way I see myself and my life. I look forward to making a full recovery one day, I now know it is possible if I just put in all the hard work that's required. more

My Second Home 1/6/2017

Please know how much I gained from my time here at The Center. It has become my second home and the clients and staff feel like family. The environment was exactly what I needed and I know the tools and skills I have learned will save my life in the future. Because of this phenomenal place, I am leaving here with a new found hope for the future and the courage to never give up on myself. Gave Me The Fresh Start I needed 1/2/2017

I just returned from The Center, and I am so grateful for everything I have learned. The treatment team was outstanding. All three clinicians/therapists I worked with were wonderful. They each had different approaches and styles and having those differences helped me to have a very well rounded treatment process. I gained so much from each of them and they helped me immensely to come into my own.. I have been given a fresh start and I am going to continue to build myself up from here. The Center was nothing short of INCREDIBLE!!!! 12/29/2016

I was feeling suicidal and struggling with my eating disorder, I wanted help to get to the route of my problems and learn how to properly heal for good. I wanted to learn to love myself and value myself. The Center was nothing short of INCREDIBLE!!!! I learnt so much from each member of staff. It was the first time in my life that I felt believed in. The staff treat clients really well, with care and belief in us. I found it was like one big puzzle, every class and every session all came together, every part necessary complimenting each other. The boundaries classes were incredible. I found going to a restaurant every week has helped me HUGELY to overcome my fear of eating in restaurants and eating different foods and making decisions! Having four individual therapy sessions each of my six week stay was a HUGE part of my growth. The anxiety classes helped me a LOT too. The emotional abuse classes were FANTASTIC. Just amazing and grateful for the care showed to me by the entire staff. more

A Place of Hope has literally saved my life 12/28/2016

The Center: A Place of Hope has literally saved my life. I went from feeling suicidal to feeling like I can conquer the world. They helped me develop healthy habits that I plan to continue after leaving. I will be in touch with the team here to update them on my progress. Truly A Place of Hope!! 12/22/2016

The Center is truly a place of hope. In the first 2 weeks I experienced significant lessening of my depression and anxiety and at 4 weeks feel ready to return home. I will be forever grateful to staff and clients alike. God's presence is clearly felt in the staff, groups, and environment at the Center and it was no accident any of us arrived here. more

Great Treatment Team 12/16/2016

My treatment team was amazing. For the most part they worked together really well and were always willing to help with whatever I wanted to progress with. They dug into my history and helped me understand my eating disorder better. I learned that my eating disorder contributed to the depression and anxiety and we dealt with most of the issues we needed to. They were amazing! more

A Place of Hope Review 12/5/2016

The Center a Place of Hope is a dynamic place to go for treatment. Professional well trained staff, great support system during your stay and then after also The way The Center is set for living arrangements is perfect for keeping your independence and being responsible for yourself at the same time. Very comfortable living arrangements Also the village of Edmonds is fantastic. Lots of walking in this quaint village. You are close by the waterfront with an outstanding view of the mountains Definitely a 5 star facility ! more

Gave Me My Spark Back! 12/1/2016

Making the choice to go to The Center was the best thing I decided to do for myself! I didn't come to work on issues from everyone else or for everyone else. It was about me and learning how to identify and express my emotions. The Center staff is truly genuine and caring. Even if someone wasn't on my designated team, they were still on my team because they truly cared and wanted to see me succeed. Flying 1700 miles from my family was very scary in itself, but my housemates and all the other clients really helped me adjust. As I went to different shops within Edmonds, I was pleased with how nice people were. Even with all the rain, it still felt like a breath of fresh air. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and everyone of of you at The Center! Dr. Jantz is as nice as his photo shows! He cares about each of us that enter the building. Thank you so much for the opportunity to come work with your staff! If you are looking for a facility that treats you as a person rather than a statistic, give them a call! more

GRACE is the CHOICE to CHOOSE AGAIN! 11/21/2016

I did extensive research on The Center A Place of Hope and watched testimonial after testimonial and read review after review. I was frustrated with not knowing what was going on with me. Personal struggles with my mental and physical wellness plagued me to the point where I was self destructive in my relationships with others, feeling worthless at my job; a whole laundry list of things. However, when I flew across the country from Indiana I found this journey was about ME...I was full of SHAME. My team worked together for me to truly understand the link between my physical and mental help. The whole body approach is truly a unique one. As a 43 year old single working mom of three, I came back with the tools to truly know ME. I learned to breathe, make mindful decisions, and that I can choose what the next chapters of my life will look like...and I CHOOSE HOPE. more

When I arrived at the Center I was broken, a mess, and wondering what would become of my life. The staff at the center rushed into action and helped me begin to slowly feel again. I would highly recommend the center if your in need,or feeling hopeless, lost, or broken. In the midst of my brokenness I experienced hope and the staff helped give me the tools for success outside the Center. My experience at the Center helped restore hope to my hopelessness and I would recommend this program to anyone in need. Thanks Center, because of you I got my life back truly! more

Saved My Life 10/28/2016

I can say that The Center was a Godsend, and saved my life. The warmth and compassion I received saved me at a time when I was most vulnerable. The staff, which is amazing, then set out to understand what was going on with me and figuring out how to help me. After four weeks of great sessions and exercises, I feel like a new person. I never would have believed I could feel happy again, and excited about the rest of my life. They really understand how to "peel back the onion" and get to the root issues that cause your pain. I am a work in progress, but made a major "break through" and know I am in a permanently better place now than ever before. I have been to more than one treatment facility (sadly), but must say The Center is so far ahead of the other two and "gets it" so much better. If you are hurting with depression, you really need to call The Center. I hope they can help you as much as they helped me. more

Really Impressive Program. Life Changing 10/21/2016

I can't say enough about the staff at the Center and the program. Each staff member is kind and professional. They know their stuff. And their ability to get you to think about things you haven't thought of before, to uncover underlying causes for your depression and anxiety, and then to give the tool to use to get better...it is impressive. I feel the way the program is organized is solid. People need to understand that it is not easy, and you have to want to get better. You don't get a book or magically attend a session and then feel better. You have to participate and work through your personal life issues. But if you do, you will see life changing results. Life changing. Because of the quality of the staff, the very comfortable setting and the way the program produces lasting results, I give The Center 5 stars. Easily. If you are struggling, please consider The Center. They can help you. more

It's hard to find a treatment facility that has both professionals that care about their patients, and are thought leaders in treatment. It is very obvious that the staff know their stuff. The sessions are well thought out. Treating addiction is a hard thing, but I feel like APOH gives its patients an above average chance at recovery. more

Wonderful Treatment Facility with Caring Professionals 10/14/2016

The Center is a wonderful facility located in a quaint and charming town. It's such a peaceful environment and within walking distance to the water...a true retreat. The staff is incredibly caring and professional, and the accommodations are lovely. I can't say enough about Dr. Jantz and his team. Their mission is to help people restore their lives and give them hope...and they do! Personally, I'm so grateful there are treatment professionals like the ones at The Center. Suffering through anxiety, depression, an eating disorder, PTSD and so many other challenges can be debilitating. It's comforting to know there's somewhere to go that can truly help restore faith and meaning in life. I highly recommend The Center and have personally seen the positive impact they make on peoples' lives, including mine. more
