A Moment's Peace Salon & Day Spa

I had been trying to grow my hair long for over 2 yrs. & had finally grown it halfway down my back. I went to a lady at A.M.P to cut LONG layers into my hair to give my long hair a style. She acted confident and began cutting fast. I made it clear that I didn't want to lose length/have layers too short. She kept cutting and I started getting nervous. I pulled out a layer she had cut & told her it was shorter than what I wanted. She was offended that I said anything. I tried to keep quiet and trust her bc she was so aggressive & overconfident. She turned me toward the mirror & I saw that she had cut a layer about 3" long on top. It looked like a mullet & she had thinned out my hairs length so much that I looked like the mom on the Brady Bunch. I've never EVER freaked out over my hair, but I was in shock. All of the length I had worked for was gone. I had to ask her to stop mid-cut. She saw I was upset & got ill with me. She kept insisting it was a "cute cut." Trying to be nice I said "I'm not saying its not a cute cut, it's just not what I asked you to do." To make it worse, some other stylists saw what was going on and walked over defending their co-worker "Its cute, It looks great!" They had no idea how long I had worked to grow out my hair that was now laying on the floor. Years. The stylist actually rolled her eyes & thought I didn't see and became very short and rude with me. She said "I have another a client so I'm sorry you're going to need to go." I went to my car & called my fiance in tears. She was rude & insensitive. She screwed up & it hurt her fragile little ego, I will never recommend this place. I went to another salon considering extensions which I unltimately couldn't afford.. My length was so thin I knew I would have to cut the whole thing very short. The new stylist agreed. Everyone, including my fiance could not believe it when they saw what A.M.P had done to my hair. I freaking hate this place. more

I went to A moment's Peace to have my hair cut and colored. Everyone was very friendly and helpful as soon as I walked in the door! Leslie Glass was my hair stylist. She was very upbeat and friendly. I told her I wanted my hair cut short but was nervous b/c I have natural curly hair. She took the time to talk to me about it and let me know what she thought would be great for me. She was very patient and encouraging. She gave me the best hair cut and color I have ever had! I will always go to her and I trust her completely with my hair! I went to check in to my appointment , the girl was talking to other employees. I stood there for ten minutes,while her and 3 other girls were chatting. Well finally I said excuse me,because she didn't have a name tag on. I asked her,her name,she told me Shelly. Well she said my stylist would be up to get me to just have a seat. Five minutes later a girl apporached me,She said hi my name is leslie glass I'll be your stylist today. I went back with her to do a hoghlight and color and haircut. I showed her a picture of what i wanted. IT LOOKED LIKE HELL! It was so alwful!!! She butchered the hell out of my hair. She didn't know what she was doing. On top of that, she was rude to me when I told her I didn't like it. While she was toning my hair trying to fix the orange, I heard her tell another stylist that I was a rude bitch,and I didn't know what i wanted. I thought that was so alful,and couldn't wait to leave that salon. she rinsed my hair and we went to dry it,it still wasn't anything like I told her to do. I will never recommend that salon to anyone. everyone was rude I should have never paid the bill. I went to another salon to have it fixed. I wouldn't let her ever touch my hair again!!!!! I discovered AMP through a Chamber Mixer and it was a ton of fun -- I even got a free brow and lip wax! I was impressed with the updated facility and the providers and plan to make it my spa of choice. The couples massage area was so tranquil! It's amazing that a spot like this exists among the hussle and bustle of Cool Springs! Pros: provide a lot of services, updated facilities, nice staff Cons: parking is a little tight more

For years now, I have been a regular customer. AMP is beautiful, but it's really the people that make it great. My favorite manicurist, facialist, and massage therapist are all there. I highly recommend it! Pros: Always fun things in the store... Cons: Book in advance! more

I had a facial with Carol last week and I can't stop talking about it. The entire experience from the moment I walked in the door until I left the place was incredible. I definetly had a peaceful moment and then some. I'm new to the area and have been looking for a spa and I have definetly found it. I recommend this place to everyone. I made my 1st ever appointment and was scheduled for 1:30. At 1:45, I was still waiting and no one came to update me. I then went to the receptionist desk to inquire and they advised it would be a little longer. I informed them that I needed to leave, and they did nothing. No apology or anything. This type of service still amazes me. more

I came here for a massage with Michelle. She is wonderful. I have never felt so good when leaving a spa before. The place was quite and I felt completely at home. The room was dark and the mood was just right for relaxation. You have to check this spa out.! more

Toi is the absolute best masseuse I've ever had. She uses hot and cold stone therapy occasionally and there is never an extra charge for that.
