Ater carting my antique jukebox to 4 other shops for a 'probing' and being told I was out of luck due to lack of parts, I stopped here and spoke with Mike. He seemed confident he could fix it without evenopening it and said he'd call me in a few days with the diagnosis...\r Turns out I had a few things wrong with the unit, mostly because of a botched previous repair. He was able to use parts he had in stock, and fabricate a mechanical part which had cracked. One week later and a small labor bill (no parts charge) I was cranking tunes on my old jukebox for the 1st time in 20 years...\r Thanks so much!!!! Pros: these guys know their stuff!! more

I have called this shop to explain the problem I was having with my unit (once a stereo, twice a TV) The technician solved my problem over the phone and I did not have to bring them in.... The stereo was a bad patch cord, one of the tv's was because the VHF/UHF switch had been inadvertantly changed. They fixed my HH Scott reciever a few years ago and the price was right and it still works fine to this day. I believe them to be honest and to do go work. Some of my friends who still live in the area, still do business with them, even though I have moved to Arizona. I would recommend them to anyone who wants an honest evaluation or needs a repair. We've been taking our electronics to this business for maintenance & repair for over 20 years. They always get it done quickly, and are friendly & helpful. They've cleaned equipment with sticky stuff spilled IN it, they've fixed several Tvs, & stereos,over the years, and even helped us to troubleshoot computer problems & hookup issues. I emailed and was promised a free estimate. I brought up my units for repair this past Saturday, and I briefly talked with one of their technicians, an older gentleman who sluffed around and smoked with a scowl. I didn't want to drop off my units, quite frankly. When I arrived, I politely asked for a receipt acknowledging receipt of my materials, which are expensive and valuable to me. I received the impression that I was asking for too much, and felt like I was 'interrupting his break.' He did eventually concede to write on a business card that he received these 2 units, but it felt like I was greatly inconveniencing him. When I called back to receive my estimate (note: I myself had to call them; they don't call you back with the quote), the same man quoted me $25 for a cleaning and $189 for the repair of another unit. These units are cheaper to buy brand new, which is what I said I would elect to do. I told him also that I would not need the cleaning as I'll probably just elect to buy two new units, as I do cycle through these fairly often. The man scoffed at me and said, ""what, $25 is too much to pay for a cleaning?"" I told him no it wasn't, but that I'd made my choice and I'll probably just purchase two new items. He then suggested that the cleaning had already been done. I did not request any work to be done, only to receive the free estimate and then proceed based on cost. He cannot expect every single customer to come in ready to drop money on repairs/maintenance until they know what said repairs/maintenance will cost. I authorized no work on my units and signed nothing signifying that I was approving anything other than the free estimate I was told I would receive. At which point he responded quite gruffly, ""just come in and pick 'em up"". My jaw dropped. I have never been treated so rudely as a customer, or even a potential customer. This is terrible customer service from this individual, and I am sorry I brought these to this company for repair based on the interaction I've received with this individual. Finally, when I went in today to pick up my units, he dropped them roughly on the counter and I asked if I needed to sign anything and he said ""GOODBYE"". Unbelievable!!!!
