Fabulous Hairdresser 6/3/2008

I have been going to Alina's for over three years. She was recommended to me by my daughter. Very professional, but at the same time very warm and friendly. Alinas' work is execellent. I enjoy going to her salon, and always leave very satisifed. Her personnel is also very friendly and always welcome you. The salon is very clean, has a nice atmosphere and is well decorated. Appointments are flexible and very accomodating, even last minute ones that fit my very busy schedule. I highly recommend Alina for her work and for caring about your individual needs. more

Great Hair Experience 6/2/2008

I've been coming to A La Mode for about 3 years. I had stopped seeing my former stylist because he wouldn't listen to me. Even though I'm 61, I am not ready for an old lady haircut which is what my former stylist gave me. Alina always listens. I love what she does to my hair which is thick and naturally frizzy. Even though a lot of her clients are young and trendy, she does very well by us older women also. I've never had a stylist before that leaves me satisfied every single time. more

I've been coming to A La Mode for about 3 years. I had stopped seeing my former stylist because he wouldn't listen to me. My husband and I have been both getting the best haircuts ever by Alina.Also, we always get appointments that fit our busy schedules, which we really appreciate a lot!She always has creative and stylish haircut ideas that match our needs.We can really trust her with our hair, which we all know is usually hard to do with hairstylists! :) more

Great service, great style, comfortable salon 5/23/2008

I moved to the Glendale area from Connecticut a couple of years ago, and turned to the Web to help me find someone to do my hair for a special event...and found A La Mode and Alina. I looked fabulous, thanks to Alina, but I also ended up going back a month or so later for a cut and color. Since then, I've never gone anywhere else. Alina and her staff are knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly and really patient with my difficult-to-color hair. A La Mode is open and comfortable -- stylish, but not stuffy. They can do the extensions and the fancy stuff, but they're just as good at the regular cut and color most of us get. Most importantly, I always leave A La Mode feeling better than when I came in. What more can you ask for? Pros: service, skill level, friendliness, cleanliness Cons: none more

I have had my hair both cut and colored by Alina, and I always receive compliments afterwards. Several people have complimented me on my highlights, asking me where I got it done. I have thick hair, and Alina is able to give me a cut that makes my hair much more managable. I'm going to see her in a few days for a trim...I can't wait! more

She's a natural at cutting hair--even my curly hair! 5/19/2008

I have thick, shoulder-length wavy hair. Not every hair cutter knows what to do with my hair. Some hair cutters will just cut a straight line across the bottom, as if my hair were straight. Others might take forever to figure out how to cut it. Or use gobs of hair product and a hair dryer to keep it under control. Not Alina. She expertly goes in their and cuts with confidence. Before I know it she's done. She puts a bit of a styling product in my hair, I shake my head, and let it air dry. That's it!!! My husband goes to her too and has super fine straight hair, which also isn't easy to cut well. She does a fabulous job and he even gets complements. For a guy, that's pretty amazing. I highly recommend Alina. You won't be disappointed. more

A genius in Glendale 5/18/2008

I started going to Alina when I moved from Gemany to Pasadena in summer 2006. I love her Salon. It?s cozy, stress-free and the people are very warm and friendly. Alina?s is high professional and my haircuts are always beautiful. Alina knows exactly what cut I like. My last stylist was a genius and I?m happy there is one in Glendale too: ALINA. Thanks a lot! more
