#1 AUTO REPAIR FACILITY! 10/13/2011

I have been taking my vehicles to these people for years, and would never consider going anywhere else. The staff was so helpful .Not only do they explain eveything to me, they educate me on what my problem is, what caused it, what has to be done to repair it & what it's going to cost. I would recommend them to everyone, they are professional, but personable I feel like a friend when I walk in there. more

Women beware! Go somewhere else! 11/2/2010

Don't go there if your a woman!!! They treat you very bad and act as if your stupid. They "fixed" my transmission and put in an axial (without asking me first). Then the transmission started leaking and smoking and my car shook really bad on the highway. Turns out the gasket they just put in was leaking and the axial they put in was an old used one that was worse than mine! Now they're treating me as if it's a huge pain to fix the work that they didn't do right!! Not to mention I'm without a car for another couple of days when it was two weeks before. more

Great Service! 4/25/2010

I only trust A & J Transmissions with my vehicle. I have experienced their professionality serveral times now. Last time I was there, my transmission on my Chevy truck decided it didnt want to work anymore. The owner explained and showed me what had caused the transmission to fail and gave me tips on how to prevent it from happening again. The repair was inexpensive and didnt take long at all. It even came with a warranty. I would recommend this place to anyone! more

Highly recommended 3/31/2010

I can't say enough about the folks at A&J Transmissions. They have been working on our vehicles for the past 6 years and they are amazing! They always do more than we expect and are professional, helpful and know what they are doing. They replaced the transmission in my old mini van and fixed the oil leaks and it is still going strong at 185,000 miles! They even did extra work to my car last year so our air conditioning would work for a trip down to Arkansas in the 100 degree heat. I give them an A+ ! more

A&J is the 'go to' place for repairs 3/31/2010

I've been taking my car and van to A&J for over 6 years. I strongly recommend A&J. They are not only honest and professional, they always go the extra step to make sure customers are happy. Last summer they worked extra hours on my car to help me leave on time for a vacation with my son, and they have always done extra little things to make sure I'm happy. The last time I went to pick up my car they had even run it through the car wash for me! Pros: Professional, honest, reasonsable prices, helpful Cons: None, except that they are always busy more

I researched every transmission shop in the lansing area. A&J offers the best warranty, the best prices, and the best service. They're friendly, down to earth people. They're honest and they respected my hard earned dollars. \r \r They're actually one of the few distributors/manufacturers of transmission parts in the united states. Other transmission shops purchase their parts from A&J.\r \r My truck has been running strong with no problems for over a year. I'm hard on my vehicles so believe me I've tested their work.\r \r I have a three year warranty and they beat the nearest competitor's price by about 900 dollars.\r \r I'm soooo glad I chose them and not the other more expensive shops. Don't get ripped off... choose A&J. more

A & J Transmission 11/2/2005

I only gave this business a 3 star. It is a good business, they are honest, they do pretty good work, the charge is fair, and they do their work quickly. I only gave it 3 because after I took my car there, the problem still persisted, even after they replaced the transmission. We took it back multiple times, but they said they couldn't find anything wrong. So, I would recommend A & J for it's price and speed, but if you have an older vehicle with lots of problems, I'd take it somewhere else. more
