A & J Pizza

This place is amazing. The pizza is perfect. The only problem is it'll spoil you for other pizzarias. Once you've had A&J, you won't want anything else. How can I forget, their pasta is phenominal and so are the salads and tiramisu. Pros: Great pizza, pasta and salad Cons: It won't be easy to lose weight if you're usually in this area. I recommend only the plain slices here. Although a bit pricey for the area, the dough, sauce and cheese AJs uses makes it one of the best slices in Queens. Another plus is the large interior. Finding a place to sit down is never a problem. more

Obviously, I missed something. The other reviewers make this place seem like it is gourmet pizza. It's really busy for a Sunday afternoon, but it's probably for the sole reason that it's cheap. There aren't very many places that are spacious and offer inexpensive fast food slices. AJ is a step up from McDonalds, but it's far from being an established restaurant. There is nothing particularly special about the pizza. In fact, it's the greasiest pizza I've had in New York. I've been to over 30 pizza places/restaurants in the city. The pizza makes Pizza Hut seem healthy. The service isn't very warm, and it's definitely rushed. You're just a number there.
