Great Cake Prepared on Short Notice 11/11/2010

I needed a cake last minute (ordered it at 11:30am and needed it by 4:00pm). Not only were they able to prepare the cake the way I wanted it but the decorating was beautiful. You could tell that high quality ingredients were used in the cake by the way it tasted. I will definately use them again as well as recommend them to others. more

Oh What a Night!!! 5/28/2009

I just had the wedding of my dreams and decided to write about all my vendors I loved. I am starting with A Gift of Taste, because even though my wedding was about 2 months ago, it's the cake is the one thing that keeps getting brought up and it was, besides my groom, the best part of my reception! I can't tell you how beautiful and tasty this cake was. The overall experience with A Gift of Taste is one I highly recommend from the tasting we had to the delivery of the cake, there was nothing that could have been done better. I wish I could post a picture of the cake on here, but just do yourself a favor and go look at there many, many photo albums of cakes. You will LOVE this place and the people who work there! Pros: The best Wedding Cake ever seen and tasted! Cons: none! more

Best cake ever! 5/18/2009

9 years ago I had my baby shower with the most beautiful Baby Carriage Cake we had ever seen. Emily, who is now 8, just had her 1st Communion and the cake was the most beautiful "Bible". My sister drove down 3 hours with the incredible cake. They have made us a Cowboy Cake, Drivers License Cake, Castle Cake, Graduation Cakes, and my favorite was my nieces Sweet 16 Cake. There is nothing she can't create/design. The cakes are outstanding! more

Best Cake EVER 6/2/2008

The cake's here are unbelievable. I just got the coolest two tiered cake for my daughter. You would never think you could get the type of decoration these people do anywhere around here and if you did, you would expect to pay far more than they charge. The cake I got was about the same price as a sheet cake from another bakery I used to go to before i learned about A gift of taste. Even though I decorated to the extreme for the party, the cake was the biggest wow at the party. Everyone at the party asked where this cake came from, and were actually writing down the place so they wouldn't forget. This is the 3rd cake I have had from a gift of taste, although this is the first one I purchased. I will never go anywhere else. Looking at their books, you can see that they can do anything! Oh, and the cakes taste great too! We got white cake with a chocolate chip mousse with a layer of choclate fudge ...and oh my! They really help you to make the cake you order a work of art and the best tasting cake ever...listen to their advice! Pros: The taste and the look! Cons: none! more

FANTASTIC!! 7/5/2007

About a month ago I had a surprise party for my wifes 40th birthday. A few friends recommended A Gift of Taste to me for the cake. When I went in, I had no idea what I wanted in flavor or style. The ladies there are very helpful! My wife absolutely loved her cake! It tasted fantastic and the decoration was incredible. The party was at a country club with a beautiful view and fabulous food, but I have to say, I've received more compliments on that cake than on anything else. I've had two friends use this bakery since the party and have equally been WOW'd by their cakes....trust me this place is one of a kind for this area. more

What a Cake! 4/23/2007

This is the ABSOLUTE BEST cake EVER! Besides being extremely tasty, they are SOOOO TALENTED! We had always gone to a bakery in Camarillo, but are so glad we decided to try out A Gift of Taste, which had been highly recommended by friends. We have now gotten at least 6 cakes from them, everyone wonderful and made exactly as we wanted! By the way, they can do any decoration like great white Chocolate castle cakes! The owner is usually there and very helpful! more

A Gift of Taste makes wedding, birthday and other occasion cakes. They have many filling choices like fresh fruits, custards, cream cheeses and mousses and 8 different flavors of cake. They can make cute cakes for birthdays and other occasions. There is plenty of parking and the business is easy to find. more
