Tami is Excellent 10/27/2007

I decided to make an appointment with Tami at AG Lounge after reading many reviews praising her. My hair was really a mess after a bad experience at another salon from getting my hair straightened. Tami listened to me and made suggestions and gave me a really nice cut . It is 100% better than it was! The salon itself is really cute and I felt very comfortable there. I highly recommend Tami as she listens to you and also is a very talented stylist! Pros: excellent service, great atmosphere Cons: alittle hard to find at first but once you find it it's fine more

Best Haircut Ever!!! 9/15/2007

I moved to Irvine from Santa Monica and I was of course very hesitant who would be the best person to cut my hair. And I have always had short hair but I never colored it..ever! After I read all the reviews about this wonderful place I decided to take a risk and go there. TRUST ME YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! Allisson is by far the best hair stylist I have ever encountered. She gave me wonderful highligts (for the first time ever!) and the best hair cut! I was a completely different person when I stepped out of the salon! thank you ALLISSON! Pros: Best haircut and color ever Cons: A little bit pricey but worth it more

Okay, so I don't normally write reviews, but I really feel this one is warranted. I'd been salon hopping for over a year and just couldn't find anyone that made me feel good about my haircut. I read all the reviews about Tami so I decided to give her a try. Yep, all the reviews were right on target. She absolutely ROCKS!!!! Yes, the establishment is awesome too, with the wine and all, but in the end, it's all about the hair. I'm extremely happy to have finally found a hairdresser that I can keep going to for years to come!! more

Allison at AG ROCKS! 8/7/2007

So trying to find anyone that cuts guys hair has been a ridiculous feat. I've hip hopped across salons like you wouldn't know over the years trying to find someone that is great. Alison at AG ROCKS! It's the first time i've ever stuck with anyone, and she is constantly positive and always up for a new style to keep me looking trendy in my line of work. Alison goes on maternity leave soon (Congrats) so might miss her for the month she's out. I heard Ruby is great too - colleague gets his cut with her and we both match off on whose better. The salon itself is also really nice and is situated in an over-hundred year old market in Old Town Irvine. Pros: Expertise, fun, engaging, VERY clean and stylish facility, the wine and beer Cons: having to book early for an appt. - no staff on Tuesdays more

Ask for CORINNE - Quite simply the BEST! 6/15/2007

\r AG Lounge has a nice atmosphere; cute little building/space and very friendly staff - have a nice glass of wine while you sit; great job! I have been with Corinne for over 3 years and she is the BEST; knowledgable, creative and sincere - I'll be coming to see Corinne as long as I have hair to cut and she is willing to cut it! Great Salon! Tami is FABULOUS!! 5/8/2007

I've tried several OC salons, but have never been completely happy with the results. I found lots of great reviews for the AG Lounge and decided to give Tami a try. She was very friendly and extremely professional. I was really impressed with her attention to detail. She actually took the time to give me a real consultation, asking me questions about my hair, and writing down the details. She gave me some great suggestions for my cut, while really listening to what I wanted as well. She explained what she was doing while cutting and styling my hair so I can recreate the look at home. She also helped me find the right products for my hair. A stranger complimented my new style 10 minutes after I left the salon! Thanks Tami!! more

Corinne is the BEST!!! 4/30/2007

I recently just moved to the Irvine area from out of state and I was very apprehensive about finding a new hairstylist. I heard about Corinne through citysearch and all her wonderful reviews made me feel very much at ease about seeing her. She did such an amazing job on my hair and I couldn't have been more pleased!! She took the time to talk to me about the problems i've had in the past with my hair and she really listened to me about what my objective was. She took my hair from a very overprocessed blonde to the most beautiful, rich chocolate brown color...it's beautiful!!! I've never been happier with the look and feel of my hair!! She did an amazing job! Pros: a relaxing environment, and very professional! more

I had my hair done by Tami and WOW I am pleased. Tami asked me detailed questions about my hair and what I was looking in my cut. As she went along she described every step she was doing. Fantastic Salon - Thank you Tami! 4/18/2007

I just had my hair done by Tami and came out more than pleased. I'm used to hairstylists disregarding my requests, but Tami really took the time to ask me details about my hair and what I wanted out of my cut. As she was styling my hair, she described every step she went through and recommended products for me so that I could achieve the same look on my own. My hair has always been thin and flat, but she gave it body and style without overdoing anything. She also worked rather quickly, which I really appreciated and took as a sign of her skill. Call Tami, she's the best hairdresser out there! Pros: Very skilled; great environment more

Go To Corinne!!! 4/13/2007

I have been seeing Corinne for a few years now and she always does such an amazing job!!! I have very fine, thin hair and i have always had bad experiences with hairstylists before Corinne. She is always able to give me a haircut that makes my hair appear much more full and thick. Corinne also gives me the most beautiful natural highlights without damaging my hair. My hair has never felt so healthy!! Ask for Corinne...you won't be let down!!! Pros: the salon is so warm and cozy, and everyone who works there is so nice!! Cons: none!! more

I went to see Tami to get my haircolor done, and am so very happy with the results. I have very fine hair and people before have layered it so much that it looks really stringy, and even finer! I've always trusted the expertise of the stylist and have been burned many times.Anyway, Tami discussed with me what she planned to do, and I am very excited now to do extensions with her. She showed me before and afters of clients with my hair type, and I totally trust her! Call Tami!!! Pros: Expertise, and Knowledge more

Hard to find but well worth it when you are done! 4/1/2007

Location is hard to find, if you feel like you're going to the strawberry fields you're in the neighborhood :)\r \r Nice staff, Corinne is awesome made me feel comfortable right from the start! She took the time to ask before we cut etc.....what I wanted, what was my goal, how dark/light i wanted my hair, took into account my input and it turned out great! You really pay for what you get....great expertise. I've saved 30-50 bucks elsewhere but haven't been satisfied w/ the color or cut or both when it was all said and done. I've been to some really nice salons in LA and along the southbay w/ no success. I was looking for a hip trendy place that was low key, friendly, not snobby, had personalized cuts and color (many don't care what you think), and could still make my hari-do professional M-F and fun on the weekends) Corrine did all that plus some! I'll be back and will tell all my girls about it for sure. Pros: Friendly, not snobby, and up with the trends Cons: Hard to find initally, at the higher end price wise of average hair up keep more

I have been going to Allison to get my hair done for over a year. She does an amazing job! She is very friendly and listens to what you say about how you like your hair done. I always get my hair cut, blond highlights, and styled. She is great at all 3! I would definitely recommend Allison. more

She is great! The salon was beautiful, very friendly, but most of all, Tami was so good. She was very thorough with her questions before we even started. She asked me things I had never been asked by a stylist, you could tell she takes her career very seriously. I have curly hair and like to change my look quite often. She suggested the cutest assymetrical cut for me, and I just totally trusted her. It turned out awesome, best experience ever in a salon. Thanks Tami.. more

Ok let me start off by saying that i have THICK LONG HAIR.. So i get a little nervous when i go to a new hair salon, but Allison Harner at AG lounge works wonders! I went to Al with jet black hair that i have been dying myself for awhile,(yea the store bought hair color ;o/) and i wanted to go back to my natural color a light honey brown.. So we sat in a salon for 8 hours while stripping my hair and she was awesome about it.. 3 months later i love my hair its back to my honey brown and i even added highlights. I trust her with my hair 100%. She is always welcoming, very personable, and sweet as can be. If you are looking for a new girl GO TO ALLISON, i promise you will love her and your hair. Pros: ALLISON!, the lounge is welcoming. more

Corinne is AWESOME! 3/25/2007

I'm not usually one to believe online reviews, especially since you never know if they're posted by ""friends""...but Corinne and the AG Lounge is amazing!! I just moved from NY and was taking a chance on picking a salon, but it was the best choice I made!!! I have incredibly long hair, and it's been through a lot, but Corinne was able to salvage it and give me the cut that I needed. I trust her completely!! Definitely a great salon, it's in a seedy area on Sand Canyon, but don't let that scare you! The salon is top notch and all the girls are super friendly! \r \r \r \r Best choice in OC! Pros: EVERYTHING!! Price was good, about $55 for a cut. Well worth it for having a girl with experience! Cons: Could be in a nicer area, but looks are deceiving! more

After seeing all the great reviews for Tami, I decided to take a chance. Tami took the time to understand what I like and don't like about my current hair, as well as how much time I want to spend maintaining it. I've been going to her for a few months now, and am amazed with the results. She has blended highlights and low lights into my hair and given me a stunning, but natural-looking color. Each time she cuts my hair, I get more complements than I have ever had from strangers as well as friends. I'm definitely a customer for life! Pros: Great cut and color more
