Very romantic 3/16/2006

This restaurant serves French-style food with a tapas twist. The ambiance is very romantic with wonderful outdoor seating also, and the service is really great. I have been here several times and tried a variety of dishes on their ever-changing menu. It has all been really wonderful. While the prices are not cheap, this place is a really good value for whet you get. They do not take reservations so it can be a bit of a wait on weekends. I would suggest going on a weekday or putting your name on the list and getting a drink somewhere else on College Ave while you wait. The bar area tends to be far too crowded. more

This Rockridge tapas restaurant is dimly lit, elegant, and classy -- perfect for a romantic dinner for two. There is an extensive wine list, and the food is excellent. Just don't get too attached to any particular item, as the menu changes seasonally. One of my favorite dishes (a small serving of duck with a succulent cherry sauce) disappeared on my second visit, and I was a bit disappointed.
