AC Moore is a great holiday store. They will mark down for the first time two days before Christmas. That is right you will be able to pick up Christmas garland and wreaths and craft supplies at fifty percent off before Christmas. You need to stop in on December 26 because they will be at least marked down to sixty percent off if not seventy. This store likes to mark down fast and move the Christmas or holiday stuff out. This store will mark down to ninety percent fast so if you see something you like you better grab it while you can. I bought small Santa bears last year to make little baskets for my daughters friends at work. If you have a bunch of people to buy for like employees a great money saver is this store. Just get a bunch of the little ball ornaments and decorate them yourself. I also bought a bunch of sun catchers for my grand kids to paint during the summer. This is another little store that most people miss on black Friday. I like to stop in this store after I have made all the early bird specials. A C Moore usually puts out two or three coupons in their fliers that are really good on black Friday. I shop AC Moore on a regular basis because I do a lot of crafts. I like to make my own candy so I buy my candy molds here as well as the colors to decorate the chocolate. The store I go to is small but it is in a very large shopping center. The parking is very good because there are so many other stores in this center. Most of the other stores are what I would call specialty stores. When you are done rushing around go to AC Moore and take a look at their sale. They do not usually have an early bird specials but they will have a special sale. A. C. Moore seem to me to be less obnoxious than either JoAnn's or Michael's. I'm not sure why because they do carry pretty much the same stuff but it just seems a little nicer somehow. There's always a flyer in Tuesday's mail with a coupon good for 40% off one item and I think they take competitors' coupons, too. They have cheap matboard in the art department (not archival). I go here mainly when I happen to be at this shopping center for other stuff. The store is crowded and sometimes untidy. Lots of parking unless you are there on Friday or Saturday evening, then forget it. more

A.C. Moore is one of the best local stores for everything to do with crafts. They have extremely competitive prices, most of the time much cheaper than other stores. They accept all competitor coupons and have fantastic customer service. If you sign up for their email list, they will email you their weekly circular, coupons, and special event notices, such as their Moonlight Madness sale. more

At first I was infatuated with A.C. Moore crafts, and it continues to have it's place for me among places to get crafting supplies. Primarily, it has a TERRIFIC yarn selection, especially if you like top-notch, fashionable yarns but are opposed to local yarn stores. (i'm not sure why some people don't like local yarn stores, but i know some don't... so this serves a purpose) AC moore also has good, wide-reaching, sales on their yarn -- unlike some other craft stores. Other things that AC Moore offers that other places don't include: expanded candy supplies, dollhouse supplies, doll accessories, books, toys, etc. They do not carry as much seasonal merchandise as JoAnn's or Michaels, however. The atmosphere in the White Marsh AC Moore is a little bleak. The lighting is almost too bright, and it feels more like Wal-mart than the other large craft chains.
