Best Store in Town if You Are Selling an Estate or Library 6/23/2011

A Book By Its Cover is definitely the best used book store in Louisville if you need to sell an estate or family library. The owner came out to look at my parents' on the afternoon I called and we were able to close the deal the same day. The owner really knows his business and was happy to tell me honestly which books had value and which didn't. That made the whole process so much easier and we ended up with a much better offer than I expected. more

Really Knows His Business With Estates 9/17/2010

My parents collected some really bizarre books over the years and I had absolutely no idea what to do with them when we had to deal with the estate. Called A Book By Its Cover and the owner was able to see me the same day. Met me at the house and we sorted through the books together. He really knew what he was doing, even with off-beat books, and we settled that part of the estate by the end of the day. Very courteous and professional--and gave me a fair price. more

Good to Deal With on Estates 9/10/2010

Just wanted to thank the owner for taking care of my brother's estate. He had maybe 500 books I needed to take of and so I called A Book By Its Cover to see if someone could come over and give me an estimate. The owner stopped by on the same day, looked over the books carefully, gave me a good offer and was able to remove the boxes all in one trip. Quick and professional service. It really saved me a headache. more

Found Some Great Kentucky Books Here 9/10/2010

Found this store through the yellowpages and then clicked on their internet inventory. Found some great local history on Louisville and Early Kentucky history. Went ahead and made the purchase and the books arrived in 3 days. Terrific quality--just as described--and some of these are really hard to find books. I strongly recommend. more

Excellent Appraisal Service--Fast and Inexpensive 9/9/2010

Called the owner last week about about an insurance appraisal of my parents' library and he was able to look up the books and write up an evaluation within 5 days. The owner is also a professor with a lot of experience working with rare books. He treated me very courteously and took the time to explain which books are really worth keeping and which ones I should just throw away. Very satisfied. more

Sold My Family's Estate in One Day 9/9/2010

Excellent service--Called the store in the morning and the store owner was able to stop by in the afternoon and make a offer on my father's library. We agreed on a price and he was able to remove the books the same day. more
