A Better Balanced Body

I have been going here for over a year now and Gigi has greatly improved my skin. She knows what she is doing and if you want long-term results for your skin and someone amazing to talk to, she's your gal. I would trust no one else with my skin. I come once of month for my membership facial. I don't know what I would do if Gigi was not in my life. She has saved my skin!!! more

Great place they have here. I felt so welcome. Jacquie gave an amazing massage that hit the spot right after a round of golf. Hot rocks, deep-tissue, accupressure, the whole thing was terrific. I was relieved to find this is not a "chick only" spa. Guys can feel really comfortable, here, too. more

The girls were all really nice, nothing snotty about this place. Really cool and unique products, too. Cool candles for sale, cute clothes, some healthy food stuff, kind've like a one-stop shop. I got a facial here as I have a few pimples. Their garlic-tomato masque was definitely "different", but my skin looked amazing afterwards! And to think I was going to visit the dermatologist next week. I canceled the derm appointment, that place actually fixed my skin! :) My facial was with Gigi, I guess she's been at this for a long time, she's been an esthetician she was telling me for over 20 years! But, knew what she was doing! For the results, the price is great. more

By far one of the coolest finds around the beach area. I actually came across an ad last year advertising their massage and facial special. Pros: Everyone is dual licensed! Cons: None I can think of more

They're behind the 101, which in a way is really nice because they're pretty secluded, but at the same time right in the middle of commerce. Loved the fact they had their own parking lot. The place inside is unique; it’s unlike any other spa. You walk in feeling like you're at home with couches, a massage chair and a nice back yard to relax in. It's a nice escape from the crazy world out there. Services were awesome. I got a massage and brow wax. No extra charge for the hot rocks and the girl (I think Emilie) really knew her techniques with stretching, reflexology, etc. I was given tea, water, snacks, all included, then I kind've just hung around for a while in the back area enjoying the surroundings. I talked to the owners, they're both real nice and they work the place themselves. You definitely get the feeling that this place will do anything to please the customers. They were genuinely the nicest people I've ever known. I live in town so I'll be back...... more

After getting a SF certificate, I decided to head here as they were the only place that had an esthewtician/ massage therapist available. Turns out they're all dual-certified. So, I used my SF for a special they were doing on a massage/facial combo. Emile worked on me. She is sweet, the appointment was on time and I was instantly a little surprised to find how relaxing inside this place really was. I enjoyed a really nice massage going face-down first. Emilie used a variety of techniques to work out my knots, including some stretching, too! The facial part was amazing. She used Eminence mask on my face along with stream, extractions, etc as I was flipped over to then enjoy the rest of the massage. Simply an amazing experience! The combo. of massage and facial is the way to go! I'll be back! :) more

I was given a SF certificate to use here. This spa was amazing for the service. The girls had all so much knowledge and were incredibly helpful. I came in for their advanced treatment, think it's called the Signature. Anyways, they use ultrasound instead of microderm, so I didn't feel like my face had been sandblasted for a change. They used some pretty cool LED lights on me, too and the actual mask itself was amazing. It was organic, so I felt good that I could avoid chemicals. Emilie worked on me. She was so friendly and explained how much she actually liked the spa itself and her other co-workers. I can't even begin to tell you how many girls from other spas bad-mouth their managers, but Emilie really loves the spa and her line of work. Next time I'm back in the area I'll definitely be back! more

This place is too cool. I love to travel up and down the 101 looking for the occassional skin treatment or massage, and this place floored me! It's right behind the 101, a tad tricky to find, but once you're in, it's soooo nice! Pros: Affordable and a great treatment Cons: Tricky to find more

I've tried all of the Encinitas spas, and while a couple had some quality going for them, most were just about the "ambience", but the overall service integrity was lacking. This spa truly gave me the wellness experience. The girls' knowledge regarding nutrition, anatomy and recommendations for future health was quite extensive- I was very impressed. My wife also loves this spa: top quality products and great results. What a find! more

My wife and I have been to many different high end spas. A better Balanced Body was the best experience by far. The girls know there stuff and it is very clean and comfortable. Most of the time spas make us guys feel out of place. This place makes you feel right at home . The expertise and knowledge the girls have there was amazing. We will be going back on a on going basis for our well being and and relaxation needs. more
