im new to the charlotte area and was looking for a professional window tint shop to use. ive always had my cars tinted so i knew what to look for. after calling around all over charlotte i decided to try auto fx out, and im glad i did. they tinted my car for a good price and got it in and out. what i liked most is this is a family owned business, rather than having someone else do my car that doesnt care so much about the establishment, these guys seem to truely care about their quality and their customers. id say the only problems would be the small parking lot but i can deal with that. i would definatly reccomend this place and i will be using them for here on out! more

Terrible Awful Unreasonable 3/14/2011

The owner is extrodinarliy difficult to deal with. Save yourself a lot of frustration and go elsewhere. I'm not a competitor, just a consumer that expects decent service. more

Awesome priced service by a friendly family business. 5/5/2009

After reading these reviews I was reluctant to try this place out but I said what the heck and went for it anyway... and I am glad I did. It was a pleasure talking to the owner, very nice guy and gave me a good deal. I am very pleased and cannot wait to go back to get the back half of my car done. The negative remarks must of been made by a vindictive X-employee or something like that because AUTOFX is my stop from now on!!! Pros: great price, good location Cons: nothing big enough to mention more

I have known the Mangrums for a long time and can tell you that Gene the owner will take top notch care of all his customers. He is reasonable, fair priced, and most importantly fast. The other reviews must come from the most high maintenance, unreasonable people. I have done business with these guys for a long time and find them to be awesome. Pros: BEST TINT IN TOWN more

Stay Away 2/26/2009

This is the most unprofessional buisiness I have ever dealt with. After having my windows tinted I had bubbles. When I took it back the owners' son (shop manager) told me it was nothing he could do about it. You must talk to Gene Mangrum. When I finally did talk to him after running him down for 3 weeks he said it wasn't his problem. He reeked of booze. Stay far away and check the complaints out at the better buisiness bureau concerning these rip offs. more

AVOID 10/22/2008

This place is awful I got my windows tinted here in August and my back window still in October has bubbles. I went there today to get it fixed because I was told it had a lifetime warranty the owners son told me he could put a black vinyle strip on top but it would cost me $20.00.I said im not paying it's your mistake you should fix it his response was ""I can't give stuff away for free"". I said well it looks terrible he said what do you suggets we do? He then said well you can call the owner Gene he's in on tuesday but he usually in and out you'll have to leave a message. DON'T GO HERE $140.00 and they won't fix what they messed up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: price Cons: Terrible customer service,warranty not followed thru more

BEWARE 6/13/2008

After waiting 3 hours with an appointment, I recieved a call saying that he is unable to tint my windows because he hasn't been doing this very long. I call the next day to reschedule & request that the owner be available to work on my car. I was given an appointment on Friday. I call to verify my appointment that day, when I'm told that the owner doesn't work on Fridays & I wasn't on the schedule anyway. Don't always trust what they tell you. Cons: location/parking more
