99 Cents Only Stores

It was only after loading up the gear for this year's college experience (I'm a junior at nearby Pepperdine University this year) that I discovered the usefulness of going to the 99 cent only store. Sure target and walmart have dishes and soap and whatnot at discount prices, but the 99 cent store actually has a really good selection at an extremely good price (under a dollar of course!). I now go there all the time whenever I need simple things, such as car wash fluid or school supply, and I tend to fill up my basket with tons of stuff that I never knew I would find. Sure it feels a little sleazy going to the dollar store for necessities, but honesty after shopping here once or twice, you'll begin to think everywhere else is just ripping you off. more

I like most Ninety Nine Cents Only Stores because of their wide selections and cheap prices. However, I do not like this one too much. It is one of the smallest stores in the nearby area. Also, because there are many stores in the same blocks, the small parking lot is always full, you have to wait for someone to get a parking. Maybe the structure is a bit old, it is a bit dirtier compared with others. If you want to go to a Ninety Nine Cents Only Stores, try go to another one instead. more

I like the 99 cent store but suggest that everyone stay away from this particular one. It is one of the smaller 99 cent only stores I've been too and it is also one of the dirtier ones. Also, there is not much parking. One time this old lady got out of her car and started yelling at me because somebody else stole her parking spot and I should now back up along with all the cars behind me so she could now take my spot! Needless to say, I would have run her over but decided jail is not the best way to spend your life. Anyway, I would suggest the 99 cent only store on Duarte Rd. near San Gabriel Blvd. in Arcadia. It's much bigger and nicer. more

The Ninety Nince Cents Only Store is great!! Whenever youre looking for a cheap drink or anything in particular, the 99 cent store has it (almost all the time). Party items, toys, ect... are all there at the 99 cent store. If youre trying to live frugal, there are lots of cheap canned foods and frozen foods. more
