Great tofu pad thai! Order arrived on time! more

this place totally blows 12/20/2009

having been dragged there a dozen or so times, I feel as though I am something of an expert on 9 tastes, and concluded probably halfway through my 9 tastes journey, that it is really and truly awful. pad thai is okay and cheap (i'll give it that. although when we're talking cheap we're talkign $9 cheap not 6 or 7, which would more closely mirror its value) Pros: pad thai (maybe) Cons: everything else more

Good food, but I hope you like eating in a basment 10/18/2008

Tthe Thai at 9 tastes is quite good. The menu is extensive and they offer a bento box type meal for deal-seekers. I would recommend the duck or the spicy basil chicken (off menu item) for entrees and pastry puffs as an app. Prices are reasonable and there is a full bar too. Surely a good choice if you are in the mood for Thai. Pros: Great menu and good flavor Cons: Eating in a basment more

Great Thai, even our au-pair from thailand approved. more

Consistently delicious! Definitely our go to Thai joint. Pad Thai and the mango curry are our standards, always very good! Steer clear of any 'crispy' chicken... that needs some improvement. more

Prompt delivery, excellent Thai food. Agreed with others, it's worth the delivery fee. Added bonus is that if you ask for extra spicy it actually is spicy, unlike the vast majority of Asian food in the US. My mouth is still burning from the som tam. more

Not as good as I hoped! 7/25/2007

I went with a girlfriend of mine for dinner. The place itself was nice and cozy. But the overall experience was not as good as I hoped. The water tasted very funny. I think because they put lemon in the water but it tasted like detergent kind of lemon, not so much natural lemon. I had to order a soda cos I couldn't stand the water. But I could still taste the strange lemon taste in that soda. The food was just okay. The seafood dish we ordered was not very fresh. The duck we ordered came in smaller portion than I thought. The chicken in the fried rice was dry and over cooked. The wait staff was just okay. They were not too friendly with us, no smile, no eye contact. Given the good review by other people, I might give it one more try if I pass by the area for lunch in the future (maybe I was just having bad luck that night). But I have tried much better Thai restaurants than this.... more

Great, inexpensive Thai food. 11/20/2006

I love this restaurant--I go there at least a couple times a month. The lunch specials are an especially good deal--soup, appetizer, and entree for less than $8. My favorites are the pad thai and the green curry. more

Very Good! 9/21/2005

I went here for my birthday and truly enjoyed the food! We made reservations, and arrived to find everything set up very nicely. The service was great, and the food tasted wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place! It looks a bit decieving on the outside--it looks like some small run-down place, but once you get inside you realize that the place is much bigger than it looks and much nicer too. Pros: Good Service, Quick Service, Tasty Food more

great thai food 6/10/2005

I order take out from 9 tastes all the time and love their dishes. The food is always delivered quickly, the service is friendly and their prices are reasonable. I spent 6 months in Thailand 3 years ago and their food is better than most around town. I love the nam sod salad and actually emailed the restaurant for the recipe and I received a response quickly. They were more than happy to give me the recipe. They get an A+ in my book for customer service and tasty Northern Thai cuisine. Pros: customer service, reasonable prices, authentic Thai food Cons: nothing, nothing, nothing more

Absolutely Overrated 2/12/2005

It is absolutely overrated. I was deceived by the crowd. It is the worst thai food that I had. I had the basil cripsy chicken. The chicken is greasy, oil soaked and seems to be Re-Fried (recooked leftover food). The drunken noodle is not good either, you can only taste sweet. Pros: Nothing Cons: Bad door design more

thai so good 12/29/2004

A wonderful find - if not for Citysearch & the rave reviews, would have never found this place. Small & cozy ambiance, the food is delicioso! Everything we tried we loved. & you can not beat their prices. Even tho I felt very old with this crowd, we felt at home eating here to our own delight! I would go out of my way to come here! Pros: food food food, price price price, svc svc svc more

Best Thai food of Boston! 7/25/2004

I have brought my girlfriend to 9Tastes last night and everything was so perfect than I thought. My girlfriend was very impressed with the food, environment , and especially service was excellent! The hostess gave us free dessert to try her new special dessert menu which was called---taro in banana leaves. It was awesome Yummy! Folks you should go there and try something new on their specialty You won't regret , believe me....:) Don't beleive me but go and try to see how it goes And Bangkok jungle is the best dish I have ever had before too.. AND THE environment is so cozy and romantic for the first date , whoevers try to find the place to go on the date , I would strongly recommend 9Tastes Pros: FOOD, SERVICE, PRICE Cons: , NONE, NONE more

Great Thai Food is Here! 7/24/2004

This place is the most exotic thai place I have ever been before. I had Miang Kum which is the appetizer . IT was so good so fresh so healthy for person who is looking for the real thai taste and flavor. YOu have to try this and Plus Papaya salad is most delicious dish I ever have had before. I have tried so many thai places but 9Tastes has the best papaya salad! The service is also good --the waiters are so nice and fast too! You will enjoy real Thai food here !!!! Pros: Great food, Good Price, Good Service Cons: , can't think of it, none more

I do not agree with the rating! 7/5/2004

I have been their last week, waited 5-10 minutes to be seated. I saw a lot of empty tables, but no waiter. I ordered beef satay, it arrived just before I finished the main course. Pros: beer and wine Cons: , small tables, worst prices and food more

BEST THAI FOOD 6/6/2004

Hey now u guys can't miss this Thai restaurant, 9 Tastes. I luv their food, especially all spicy dishes like tom yum, pad ped. If u like veggie, they have all kinds and not spicy at all. I gotta go back there again. :-) Pros: great food, nice crowd, cute waiters more

Highly suggested Thai place 6/2/2004
