In reference to the above comment entitled Pookie01, The comments are incorrect. Dr. Frank never told them, they could catch feline aids from their cat. Dr Frank told me when I took a stray cat I found, it had feline aids. He said to me, don't worry it is not transferable to humans. Now why would he tell me one thing and you another? Also the medication he gave you that was for dogs? Did you happen to leave out something, like maybe it is used on a variety of animals? Could it be that you are just an unhappy liar? For those of you that read this, I have taken many, many cats to see Dr. Frank, he has never failed me, he has never failed one of my cats. Dr Frank, unlike some other Vets, has not become complacent. He does not just slap a band aid on the problem, but goes after the root cause of the problem. I have personally seen it many times. I couldn't possibly recommend 9 Lives Cat Hospital more highly. We have 4 kitties (ages 10 to 1) and all have being going to 9 Lives since we've had them. The staff is courteous, professional and most importantly well informed! They are ALWAYS going above and beyond the call of duty for our little brood of fuzzballs. I honestly wouldn't think of taking our babies anywhere else. The have my highest recommendation. more

On 2 separate occasions, Dr Frank provided service for my cats and I must say, I was (and still am), very impressed. The office staff are friendly, knowledgable and the office is clean. I met with Dr Frank before any surgeries were performed by him and was very pleased with his experience. He takes the extra time to make sure your pet is comfortable, properly monitored and the result is a successful surgery with minimal discomfort. I love this place. They are so understanding and helpful. Why would you take your cat anywhere else. From the amazing staff to the little birds in the aviary to Dr Franks caring and sensitive caring...a win win situation for everyone. I found two kittens about 2 weeks old. I have four older kitties, all of whom have received outstanding care from Dr. Frank and his staff at Nine Lives Cat Hospital over the past nine years. Each time I take one of them for a check-up, Dr. Frank takes extra time to go over the outcome of the visit with me. Recently, one of my kitties became terminally ill. Dr. Frank spent extra time, gently discussing her case with me so I could better understand the gravity of her illness. We are the proud parents of 5 beautiful cats. When we moved from Hollywood to Ft Myers, we had the task of trying to find a vet on the west coast of Florida. Dr. Frank is more than a vet... he is more like family to us. So we had quite a daunting task ahead of us. We found another feline practitioner in Ft Myers, but the bedside manner left much to be desired, and after losing one of our boys to cancer, we made the decision to just go back to Dr Frank. We are so glad we did. The entire staff at Nine Lives cares deeply for our cats, and our peace of mind. We are never rushed, and we never leave with unanswered questions. Dr Frank spells it out so we understand what we are dealing with. When you have 5 cats to care for, you need someone that will look out for you, your cats, and your wallet! We have dealt with some major illnesses in our family, and Dr Frank and his staff go above and beyond. When our boy Eli was sick, and in the ER in Ft Myers... Dr Frank carried his files with him on the weekend, and made himself accessible to the ER vets for consultation. ON HIS DAYS OFF!!! Find me a vet that will do that anywhere! People tell us we are crazy for driving 3 hours to the other coast for Dr Franks services... we tell them we'd be crazy not to. more

I boarded by cat, Lance at Nine Lives Cat Hospital for 2 weeks. During that time, I feel that he received excellent care and attention. Sue, and the rest of the staff were exceptional, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for first class care for their animal. more

Dr. Frank was recommended to me by another patient for my special needs older cat (diabetes and eventually kidney disease). The care has always been compassionate and Dr. Frank really does knows everything about cats. He tells you like it is, straight up. Staff is always willing to go the extra mile and they make you feel part of the family. Even the difficult process of saying goodbye to a beloved pet was handled with kindness and consideration beyond belief. I will never consider another for my cats care. more

So many nice things I can say about this place. From Dr. Frank to the vet techs. and the front desk. They are all such great people and caring cat lovers. The facility is very cozy and inviting. They only use the best vaccines and are very particular about where they vaccinate the cat. When I moved they schooled me on what to look for in my next vet and how they should vaccinate my cat. They are an excellent Cat Hospital and I tell everyone how much I like there office and the staff. Mention Brie... they remember her. more

Nine Lives is the BEST! I have 4 cats and Dr. Frank gives them all personalized kitty care. Sue is wonderful and supportive. The whole staff truly cares about their patients and families. I especially like that after a procedure or change in medication, DR. Frank always calls to check on the cats. more
