This is my second visit. I really want to like this place but the basics are lacking. Took 35 minutes to receive food and it was barely warm. I hate that. The 6oz burger is way be...

Service here wasn't the greatest - I thought my waiter should actually speak at some point. Burger was good but the lettuce and tomato we're on the bottom and the bun isn't toasted so it got so shaggy I had to finish with a fork and knife. It wasn't bad but there's a lot of competition out there and I probably won't be back. The fries were delicious tho! more

Last night at 8oz we got seated (party of four) at seven. By seven thirty no one had come to serve us so we got our drinks at the bar. The food took 30 minutes and when we asked the waitress for another round of drinks she told us to go get them at the bar. The bill was presented 30 minutes later and it took me 20 minutes to find someone to get the check. We refuse to pay the included gratuity (for obvious reasons and we had to pretty much threaten to leave without paying for the manager to ask the owner to remove the gratuity. No one asked why and no one offer to comp anything, they just ignored us like they were better people than us. These are the last $150 that we spend at 8 oz for the rest of our lives more

This place is the typical South Beach tourist trap, they think just because the place is in South Beach they can fool tourists and locals alike with overpriced hamburgers, The burger that I ordered cost $15.00! WTF! I could have had a steak dinner in other places for that kind of money and it was not even good! Joe's burgers taste better, this burger was dry not juicy at all and it really did not even taste like your typical burger. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and just go to Joe's Stone Crab if you want a good burger at half the price too. more

I get that the food is made to order but when it takes so long to get your food and then it's just not that good, it makes for a disappointing experience. And on top of all that 3 burgers cost is 62 dollars! Staff and atmosphere was nice but otherwise a waste of tome and money. more

First of all, I jumped at the opportunity to eat a real grass fed burger! I was not disappointed! The burger itself was very good, the special bun really made it great. \r \r I have to rave most about the draft beer selections, however. Anyone who carries 90 minute Dogfish Head is a hero in my book. Top that with carrying Gordon Ale on tap, too? Wow, you just almost knocked me out of my seat. \r \r I live about 90 min. away from an 8oz location in Shreveport, LA, and I plan to visit very soon! more

All I can say is great service, cool atmosphere and one hell of a buffalo burger. Thanks for a great burger! more

Took ~50 minutes to get one med rare burger. Served rare. Fries were greasy and lackluster. Water wasn't filtered. Overall horrible. more

I had a classic bacon cheese burger here. The bun was a little sweet for my tastes, and the bacon was good, but certainly not "knock your socks off - good", still - it was a pretty good burger. They are open until 5am on Frid/Sat, and have a full bar. The server was friendly and helpful. The service was a little slow (15-20 minutes to get my burger), and as others have mentioned it was pricey ($15 for the bacon cheese burger I had with fries). more

I was visiting Miami on vacation and thought their menu looked good. We tried several of the beers (which were expensive, but I guess it's Miami), the truffled potato skins, the barbecue-style burger, the onion rings, and a milkshake. The potato skins were extremely bland, the "medium" burger I ordered came out well-done and all you could taste was the barbecue sauce, the onion rings were OK at best, and the milkshake was also tasteless and very thin. \r On top of the food, the service was awful. After getting our appetizer the waitress didn't come over to take our burger order for another 25 minutes. The bussers were constantly snatching our plates away as we were still chewing our food. \r Don't waste your money!! more

Well, It's amazing how this place has changed in the past two years. When it first opened everything was excellent!\r Now I'm done. The burgers are medoicre at best. Prices too high and for the third time our take out order was wrong!!!\r This time we ordered a small Ceasar salad. They gave us chicken Ceasar and charged for it which would have been fine except chicken was like from last week. Dressing from a bottle and croutons from a box. The grass fed burger was dryand came with swiss instead of gureye cheese we ordered. Thanks god for the fab fries!! Oh they must have been sitting a few hours $34 later suck it\r We are done good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Now that hype of the newest SoBe burger joint has moved on whichever new place of the month, it seems that 8 oz. has stepped up their game. The waiters are attentive, the food arrives fast and it is really good. I had the Lamb burger and I can honestly say it was one of the best burgers I've had. Juicy, well seasoned and topped with perfectly matched accompaniments. more

Great food, lousy service 6/21/2010

I went here with my family and friends based on a co-workers recommendation. On a hot 100 degree miami day, the a/c was broken when we arrived. The manager took out a huge fan and aimed it at our table to keep us cool. It worked and despite the broken a/c, the atmosphere was nice.\r I heard about the beer cocktails and when I asked the waitress for a recommendation, she said ""none"" and that she didnt like any of them. I ordered one anyways, since my co-worker recommended them and it was definitely a unique treat. Nothing to rave about, but worth trying.\r Food wise: I had the fried pickles which were delish. Then again, anything fried is good. I also had the mediterranean burger, which is a ground lamb burger with feta cheese, grilled onions and spinach. By far, its the BEST burger I have ever had. It was amazing. My husband and friends all had the traditional 8 oz burger. Those who actually got to eat their burgers, found them to be tasty. However, ordering a medium burger got you something much closer to medium rare (mine included but I was ok with that) and one of the burgers had to be sent back not once, but two times and ultimately rejected totally. The waitress was not apologetic at all. Reminder: it takes 20 minutes to cook the burgers, so that did not make any of us happy and after the 2nd try, we gave up and my girlfrined ended up picking off of her husbands burger and her kids grilled cheese. Which, by the way, the grilled cheese was delicious and made with real cheese and good bread (not white bread and kraft american cheese). The fries were also very good.\r During the course of the meal, and even though we were litearally the only customers in the restaurant at the time, the waitress never once came over to check that everything was ok. We had to raise our hands (like in class) and even send over one of the kids to get her, when we needed something. She never came by to refill our water glasses.\r The bill was screwed up and when we pointed that out, the manager finally came to apologize for everything and gave us some cupcakes to compensate for the service we recieved. At least the manager was nice.\r \r Overall, other than the mishap with the one burger, I have to say that the food was great. The waitress needs to be fired. Despite the terrible service, I will be back for that lamb burger. if it were not for the unfriendly waitress and the screwed up burger, I would have given it 5 stars. Pros: unique beer cocktails, great appetizers, fresh food Cons: terrible service, a bit pricey, long wait for burger more
