The dealer lists a truck as certified pre-owned.....we all know that means it has been safety inspected and good to go with no major problems right? Not at this dealer, they think appearance determines whether or not it is certified. I bought a truck from them without going through a thorough safety inspection of my own since they had dictated that they did one themselves. I got the truck home to find out that the brake lights didn't even work, nor did the horn. When I called them back, I was told that it was not covered under any warranty and the cost of repairs would be at my cost....... in telling them that they sold me a truck that was illegal to drive off of their lot, they called me back and told me that they misunderstood, and thought I meant the fog lights didn't work. They had me bring my truck back in and fixed the horn and brake lights.....the following morning, the ETC light (electronic throttle control light) came on indicating that the truck is not safe to drive and needs service, not only that, the air bag light now comes on nearly every time I drive the truck and also the emmisions light is stuck on and needs servicing. I am a mechanic of motorcycles and understand engine controls and electrical equipment and I'm 99.9% sure that the dealer merely resett the ECM (engine controll module) which is basically the brain of the truck which causes the indicator lamps for the emmissions & ETC, airbag light and virtually everything else to shut off until the system recognizes the same failure which prompted it to come on in the past. Then the dealer starts harassing my referrences talking about I have to sign an additional form not included during the sale which enables the finance company to install a GPS device on the truck, they started threatening to repo the truck and not give any of my money or down payment back (illegal, I've researched it) however it was a benefit to have the device placed on the truck so I went ahead with it........After all of this, I had printed out a listing of the truck from this dealerships web site which read....certified preowned and good to go, this truck is immaculate....TIRES are in great condition and compliment the vehicle......If that was supposed to read, TIRES are dry rotted and need replacement ASAP because it's a safety hazard then I guess I missread. THis Dealer is SHADY and I'd avoid the hassels and stay away from them because they are not HONEST, they are nice, but unethical. Make your own decisions, but you've been warned.
