I am currently an asstinent manger at five theater and I sincerly appreciate your honesty but there are somethings I would like the world to know. About 6 months ago this place was at its worst trust me but ever since Clint Sly has became our house manager we've been doing everything possible to make this theater more comfortable, cheaper and a better environment all around. We love seeing new faces and I would really like this to became a community theater not just another movie theater. Things are constantly growing and changing.If there is anything that you seriously have to complain about then write us a letter or send us an email. You get what you pay for... And sometimes a little bit more, this theatre has it pro's and con's, the staff is all under aged and the management has no idea when to step in ""ie"" on weekends when they are really understaffed. We arrived early (3:30) to see the Indiana Jones movie at 4:20 pm on Memorial Day. We bought popcorn and a drink. The popcorn was burned and the drink had no ice. The previews began 27 minutes late with no explanation from the staff. Then we had to endure the movie trailers. When the movie finally started, it was blurry, had lines running vertically down the screen, and it seemed to skip several times. The people in the theater had no respect for other movie-goers. Candy wrappers, cell phones, talking, etc. all throughout the movie. I will never again go to this theater. I would rather pay the outrageous prices at the better theaters! Our family go to the 5Star at least three of four times a month. They have first run movies and their prices are the best! We can get a large drink and popcorn for six bucks and they will re-fill both if you would like. The other part we love is that the employees are the best, very nice and friendly. Another great thing is that you will usually get a seat even on the big movies. They do not have stadium seating Big Deal. I dont like stairs anyway. Try it, I dont think you will regret it. P.S. There is also a great little Mexican Restaurant just East on 35th called El Habanero that is across the street from the Tesoro and Smiths on the North side of the road if you are into the movie and a date thing. I like the 5 Star theatre in Magna. They don't sell advance tickets, so you can come the same day and usually gt in to shows that are sold out elsewhere in the valley. And, because it's not far from SR 201, it's a quick drive to get there. You take SR 201 to the 8400 West exit, then go South to 3500 South and it's right there. It's very convenient. Only 15-20 minutes from downtown SLC! So it's close, convenient, and a nice theater! I highly recommend it! Pros: not crowded, prices are reasonable, lots of free parking more
