If you're looking to rent here, BEWARE. We have been model tenants for the past year and a half that we've lived here. About a month ago, more than half a year before our lease was to expire, they started showing OUR HOME off at all hours of the day to prospective buyers--treating us like we were hometenders or something, when we pay full rent to live here. Now, if the terrible property manager had told us they were going to push to sell all the units when we renewed our lease, well, we probably wouldn't have renewed. When we explained our disdain for having our place shown off for hours at at time, we got a very curt response urging us to buy quickly or get the hell out from the property manager.
But that's the problem here. The management is terrible. Last year, our toilet wasn't working right, so we called for maintenance in the morning, and were assured someone would be up soon. Nobody came, and eight hours later when we got home, a simple gurgle had turned into feces overflowing from the toilet, and even coming up into the bathtub. When I asked the property mangager if she could deduct from rent what we then had to pay to replace bathroom shower curtain and rug, she said that she couldn't. I asked her who I could ask or talk to about the matter. She refused to say.
Workout equipment breaks frequently and is rarely fixed. Plus, this place is on the edge of the scary side of 38th, and there are wayyy to many people at the pool here to be all from this condo. Scares me--especially since they're out there until 3 a.m. sometimes. And they make their presence known.
Pros: Decent layout inside
Cons: Terrible, unresponsive mangement; unsecure
