A gem in an odd neighborhood 9/11/2005

I was hesitant the first time a friend told me to meet him at 2527, but my fear was misplaced. This space is amazing - intimate but not too small, yet still open enough to make it easy to meet people. Understated decor - functional and attractive. Oh, and the cleanest ladies room I've ever seen at a bar. The bar sometimes runs out of things that you'd think are common, but the service usually makes up for the lack of product selection. Eclectic mix of entertainment throughout the week too. Check it out - you'll be surprised to find something this cool in such an odd neighborhood. more

From the outside, you'd never guess that 2527 W. 25th Street is one of the classiest comfort spots in Cleveland. It's elegant, yet completely comfortable. Drinks are affordable, and on different nights of the week, you can hear different types of live acts. Tuesdays feature live acts singing over a backing track of Motown hits, while the weekends feature live bands that specialize in blues, funk, Latin, or jazz. The appetizer menu is small but delicious, plus some nights there are free hot dogs or other hor d'oeuvres. The new patio out back is perfect for Summer afternoons and evenings. Don't miss the special BBQ events! more
