Forget Coldstone 1/4/2007

Long before anyone had ever heard of Coldstone Creamery, there was 21 Choices. It's been an Oldtown Pasadena landmark for as long as I can remember. Be prepared for long lines even on a school night; 21 Choices is a popular destination for people of all ages, and their yogurt mixes are absolutely delicious and far healthier than ice cream. more

I actually tried this place long before Coldstone emerged. Though the store may be a tight squeeze during rush hour, getting the treat on your hand at the end makes it all worth it. The employees are all bright and happy people. (Their help wanted sign insists that they will hire an employee with a bright smile.) They sing and dance as they fix your yogurt up just the way you want it. They offer a wide selection of "choices", more than 21 if you ask me, which makes you want to go back for more. Not once have I ever tried the same thing twice, and I frequent this place often. You can get your yogurt here right before you begin your tour down Colorado, window shopping. =) more

Frozen Yogurt 4/1/2006

21 Choices has the best frozen yogurt. At first I though they were just a rip off of Baskin Robbins because of the name but they aren't. They're better than 31 flavors. You pick your flavor then you can choose from a bunch of different toppings to mix in. The people working there are always super friendly and will help you pick some yummy combinations. The only problem is with the long lines that form during the weekends. But the yogurt is worth the wait if that's what you're craving. more

I love 21 Choices. The atmosphere is always upbeat, the people aim to please. They have so many toppings and mix-ins to choose from. And their daily specials are so yummy...the ingredients taste so fresh. And you can request as many samples as you'd like! My personal favorite is vanilla yogurt with circus animal cookies mixed in. On a couple occasions when my yogurt didn't come out as I'd like, I was given a gift certificate for a free frozen yogurt! There's always a line, but it's definitely worth the wait. more

In case you're not familiar with frozen yogurt, this is some of the best in the city. The premise is that there are 6 flavors and several mix-ins which you can either have put on top or mixed in (cold stone style.) This provides for nearly ANY flavor to accommodate any craving! The problem is that the line is almost always long and it's pretty over-priced, but if you're in the area and you have a sweet tooth it's definitely worth checking out. more

In case you're not familar with frozen yogurt, this is some of the best in the city. The premise is that there are 6 flavors and several mix-ins which you can either have put on top or mixed in (cold stone style.) This provides for nearly ANY flavor to accomodate any craving! The problem is that the line is almost always long and it's pretty over-priced, but if you're in the area and you have a sweet tooth it's definitely worth checking out. more

Yummy Yogurt...Long Line 10/26/2005

Even though 21 Choices sounds like a knockoff of Baskin Robbin's 31 flavors, it isn't. 21 Choices has the best soft serve and frozen yogurt. They have very unique flavors and even sugar free flavors. The price is a little high for ice cream, but it's worth the splurge. It definitely gets crowded a lot and I've heard celebrities drop by a lot even though I've never seen one myself. If you don't mind the line, then you should definitely try the kahlua oreo mudslide, circus animal cookie, and malibu coconut. more

Mixed Yogurt 9/8/2005

This is perhaps the first ice-cream or yogurt store that offers mixed yogurt at the beginning. You can choose what to mix with in the yogurt, such as all kinds of nuts and crackers, cholocates, and you can try them before you actually order something. It is really good that you get to choose only the ingredients that you want. Tasty yogurt. more

Incredible Yogurt! 8/6/2005

This is truly one of the best places to go for dessert. You can get ice cream anytime, but this is different. It's yogurt mixed in with toppings or you can get it mixed until it's smooth. They have premade flavors daily such as root beer float, snickerdoodle, some sort of fruit flavor, and usually a chocolate flavor as well. Or you can get plain vanilla yogurt mixed in with topping from fresh fruit to chocolate to cookies to gummi bears. You name it they got it! Reasonably priced and big portions. YOu can also sample the premade flavors. Oh and if you are ordering one of the premade flavors, they offer an express line way down at the cashier end of the line, just bypass all the people waiting to get mix-ins. more
