Great lunch place and not too expensive 7/24/2009

I tried the 1808 Grille for Lunch this week and great food. I am in search of the best hamburger in Nashville and so far... this place is winning. And, if you want to have buffalo instead, no problem. My girlfriend had the panini with pretzel bread - YUMMY! Going back to try dinner in a couple of weeks. Let you know!!! Pros: Paninis anyway you want them/Awesome Hamburger Cons: Not really any more

B-Day party 7/24/2009

Booked a birthday party for my girlfriend in the small private dining room. Daniel did a great job on getting all the details together and I appreciated the chef's flexability in making her favorite appetizer tuna tartare even though it wasn't on the menu. Staff made her feel special and everyone had fun that night. I do a few corporate dinners and will certainly put this on my list. New favorite lunch spot 7/24/2009

I have been going to the same 3 or 4 spots for lunch and decided to try out 1808 Grille. Was a great surprise to find another favorite to add to my list. I was able to get in and out quickly and the pricing was very reasonable. Love the Crab cake sandwich and I am now a huge garlic parsley fry fan. Pros: good menu variety and reasonable price Cons: no complaints at this time. more

It is about time that a bit of the city lifestyle came to the city of Nashville. Dining at the 1808 Grille is like dining in New York! The atmosphere is cozy, the servers were surprisingly friendly for such a high end restaurant, and to top it all off, the prices were not that bad! The most expensive item is like 36.00. Can't beat that! Definitely will be bringing my friends and family there! Pros: Staff is very friendly, food is incredible Cons: my long island ice tea was a bit too strong more

Stop driving by it and go in 7/24/2009

Always worried about parking costs at a restaurant attached to a hotel. Once I found out you can valet or park in their garage for free it will be easier to go back. Went in with some friends for happy hour after work and ended up ordering a bunch of appetizers. Great prices during happy hour on the food and great looking room. Bartenders were extremely friendly and everyone in our group enjoyed themselves. We will be back. Pros: Creative and fresh food with pleasant service Cons: better signage more

I have been to 1808 Grille a couple of times now and both times have been thoroughly impressed with this new spot on West End. The food has been well prepared, very tasty and plentiful portions. Creative presentation with the side dishes and dessert really add to the experience. Keep up the good work. Love the server, new the restaurant in and out, recomendations by server were on the dot. Food presentation and quality was excellent. Love that the you could see personal touches in the presentation done by the chef. Eaten in some of the finest restaurants around the States and Abroad and I would say I loved this one. Highly recommended. If you get a chance meet the head chef Charles he will make your experience even better. I heard a lot of great things about 1808 before I went and needless to say they exceeded my expectations! The happy hour was great and for dinner the Arctic Char was perfect. It has a very cool vibe that Nashville has definitely needed and the food is to die for! Great prices with creative dishes and attentive staff, I'll definitely be back. I have lived in Nashville my whole life and I can tell you Nashville has needed a place like this. They have a great wine selection, and equally great menu. I recommend the Bison or the short ribs. I can't say enough good things about this place. The prices are incredible and the product is even better. This is a must try restaurant. Best restaurant Nashville has had to offer in years. Amazing food paired with a unique atmosphere 7/23/2009

Having been to 1808 for lunch and dinner I am finding that no matter what time you go the food and service is consistently great. The flatbreads for lunch are amazing and if you love crab cakes like me the open face sandwich is fantastic! For dinner my friends and I get different entrees so we can share and try a little of everything. My personal favorite is the bison skirt steak- phenomenal! Kudos to the Chef and friendly staff I'll be back for happy hour! Pros: Atmosphere, food and service all top notch more

Great new find on West End 7/23/2009

I have now been there for lunch and dinner. Beautiful room and very friendly staff. Lunch was quick and deliciaous. I had the Halibut entree for dinner and it was wonderful. Love the side items that you can share. No room for dessert but saw a couple going to other tables and they looked great. Pros: Good pricing, great staff, easy parking Cons: Would like Sunday Brunch more

NEVER going back 7/22/2009

My 3 lovely ladies and I had planed this girls night out for a long time we went for happy hour a menu they didn't even have printed and then were rude when we asked what was on it I waited 15 minutes for a drink while waiting on my friends. The bartender was so rude we decided not to have dinner there so we had our one drink and left. I would normally give people the benefit of the doubt but I honestly felt like going to the front desk to complain. I mean they had three bartenders behind the bar for 20 people. Not only that but I am glad we only had one drink who wants to pay $6 for one beer on a happy hour menu especially a domestic beer. This is Nashville prices should always be resonable. Maybe if the service was nice I would be happy to pay it, but I doubt it. This is sad too because alot of our friends wanted to eat here but after last night I will tell all of them to avoid it at all costs. Pros: Atmposhere Cons: Rude Bartender more

Great times @ 1808 Grille 7/16/2009

I've visited the 1808 Grille inside the new Hutton Hotel on West End Avenue several times in the past couple of months and each visit has been just as good if not better than last. The restaurant atmosphere is great and the service could not have been better. The food has been delicious and each meal has far exceeded my initial expections from a restaurant in a hotel. Also, check out the 'salt & pepper' shakers! Pros: Free Parking, Happy Hour Specials, Great Service more
