The 1369 triumphs in spite of being a block away from a Starbucks, so give it a whirl. It has many tiny tables, several of which have small lamps for extra coziness (and, frankly, much needed light). The place is often packed on rainy afternoons, weekends, and after dinner. The cookies are divine, the muffins are feh, the sandwiches and salads are reliable and the soup is usually something to get excited about. The staff knows what it's doing, so please tip them. Lots of decaf options, including iced herbal teas and decaf black teas. You pay for wifi here. If you've been there for hours with your laptop and the lines are constant, be respectful and move on, or at least go up and buy a cup of soup.
