10th Ave is in a class of its own. Hate the atmosphere of Bally's or 24Hr? Come here...seriously. I did the 24Hr thing and it failed me - unfriendly staff, prissy atmosphere, and not a single locker to rent to keep my stuff in. Pros: Regular people, friendly staff, rentable lockers! Cons: Trainer groups sometimes take up too much room more

Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere 4/23/2007

This is just what my wife and I were looking for! We were out of shape and wanted a gym where there was no pressure and man, did we find it! We have been coming to tenth avenue for five months now and are in great shape. We've also made some wonderful friends. Its nice to find a gym with a sense of community. Pros: Pool, basketball court, great classes Cons: Downtown parking can be difficult. (Get them to validate your parking ticket. Only $1.) more
