I too am sad to hear that Brashers has closed. They are the only mechanical that I have ever dealt and I can not think of a negative thing about to say about them. Recent news is that Vanderbilt has bought the property and Mike has been forced to close the doors. After 30 some years this is a raw deal from someone and Mike didn't deserve this hand he was dealt. God bless you Mike for all the good service you have provided. We loyal customers encourage you to stay strong and if opening another shop is in your future, I am there. This is the one thing I know for sure,I will never take my car anywhere else but to Brashers on Bransford Ave. Rather they are an Amoco or a BP you can count on these men being honest, the job being done well,and the price being very fair. I have had many things repaired there and have no complaints just rave reviews for Mike, John,and Patrick. I've even had them tell me to wait a bit longer on one repair,who do you know that does that? Go see for your self you will be glad you did! I can?t vouch for everyone else?s mechanic experience, but I haven?t been able to trust most of my auto-repairmen as far as I can throw them. Not the case w/Mike Brasher. He?s got a smaller shop and probably can?t do all the high tech stuff they have at the dealer, but he?s friendly, honest and fair and that?s huge in a mechanic. Highly recommend this guy! I had an electrical problem with my car, which Mike finally solved with a new wire that probably cost about $25-$40 for parts and labor. Unfortunately, Mike took awhile to diagnose the problem and charged me for the time he spent looking for its source. My final bill was approximately $250. I don't know about any of you, but I think a $200 diagnosis charge is way too much. This repair shop is probably great for the more commonplace problems or maintenance needs for your car. Plus, Mike is a very friendly person and will work hard to fix your car. However, if you have anything that might require some specialty expertise, I would go somewhere else. more

I had taken my car to Firestone for an estimate on the rumbling noice my car was making and was quoted $900 in repairs. I felt that was too high and also that Firestone was trying to convince me I needed repairs done that weren't necessary. I took my car to Mike Brasher's and he was able to fix the same problems Firestone found for $400 less! They also didn't try to sell a bunch of extra services that weren't necessary and were very friendly and prompt to call. Highly recommended!
