My daughterand her boyfriend from New Jersey, I and my sister went for the 4th of July Celebration and had a wonderful time, there was something for everyone! We had the $9. dinner and they were still serving after 7:30 pm. I would say the food was worth it. We toured the rooms that weren't occupied and checked out the bar and dining area(closed then) walked the wonderful wraparound porch. We looked at and read many of the historic items on the walls and displayed behind glass inside the Inn, antique furniture, chandeliers, it was marvelous! The grounds were lovely and if not for a holiday, a very peaceful location to reflect on how it must have been "way back when". The 4th of July Celebration was topped off at 10pm with fireworks that were pretty spectacular. I live in the area and plan to spend a weekend before the summer/fall is over and want to do the Dinner Theater and I would return for another 4th of July and have recommended it to my children when they come to visit from out of state.
