Review content:
Piccolo is a nice, small Italian/Pizza restauarant located near the Acme in Newtown. They offer sit-down service for lunch and dinner as well as takeout. They also let you BYOB. The menu consists of various salads, pasta, pizza, seafood, and meat. There is some good attention to detail. Thier homemade balsamic vinegar dressing is delicious as are the warm and crusty rolls with dipping oil they provide before your meal. What stands out most in this place is its Brooklyn pizza. Available for taking out as well as for sitting in the restaurant, this pizza is made with a thin and crispy crust. It is square and cut into 8 fairly large, rectangular slices. There are fresh gobs of mozzarella, tomatoes, and grated cheese with basil and olive oil. It makes for one of the freshest-tasting and delicious pizzas you could try. It could use a little less oil, but otherwise its delightful. It's worth the premium over the price of a normal pizxza and is reason alone to try Piccolo.
