Review content:
Terra Mia, a paint your own pottery place, attracts anyone from artistic elderly ladies to children's birthday parties to dad/baby couples making gifts for mother's day. I painted flower pots for my wedding bridesmaids' gifts, and a woman I met there was there every evening for 6 months, crafting a whole dining set for her and her husband-to-be. That was quite impressive.
If you've never been to one of these places, consider it as a good girls' afternoon thing that allows you to catch up, or even a date activity (IF the guy has artistic inclinations - mine doesn't). They have once-fired pottery: plates, mugs, flower pots, xmas ornaments, pet dishes, random statues, mirror and picture frames and lots of other stuff. You selected your pieces, pay for them and for the painting time, and you use their paints to bring your vision to life. They also offer classes, and have a private room for parties.
Terra Mia's owner, Christine Simmons, as well as her staff are always willing to help and give artistic advice.
