Review content:
I have taken my auto(s) to Pep Boys for several years for minor repairs and tire services, and never had a bad experience with them. I had heard of others not being very satisfied with their services, but never the case here. In fact, a few years ago I had written a letter to the President of Pep Boys and the Niles St., manager about one of it's employee's, and what great customer service he always gave, and that he went above and beyond his duties. Eventually he became manager of their garage.
Not the case any longer. That manager is gone and I have had to go to Pep Boys on Niles St., a few times in the last few weeks, for different reasons, mostly minor, until I had some major repairs done within the past week, and have been treated horribly by Robert, apparently the new manager of the garage. In fact, he screwed up by not getting any authorizations from my warranty contract company, thus creating a mess and hassle for me. He deals with these companies on a daily basis, he should know what the process is! He belittled me with rude comments (these comments were before) I approached him about not getting any authorizations first, before any work was done, it just went on and on and on. I am going to write to his superiors, this guy has the worst customer service, LACK of skills that I have ever seen. The work was done well, I suppose, but there were matters involving that area also.
I will not be taking my business back there, which is sad, because I have used them for a long time. This Robert guy lost this customer and now I am going to spread the word about how horrible his service and customer appreciation is.....so glad for Judy's Book, because here, we are allowed to speak of our business experiences, and this was by far, one of the most negative ones that I have ever encountered. Robert needs to get a little more pep with his Pep Boys job!
