I haven't been to Zza's since they revamped and started offering delivery. OMG, delivery! Of Zza's!
What stands out the most in my mind is the fact that they sometimes have deep-fried homemade Twinkies. It blew my mind. First they make a Twinkie, tasty and fancy and not necessarily quite what a Twinkie is like, and then they deep-fry it. So awesome. It makes me wish I lived in Wales, where they deep-fry anything you want. Hey, if you do it in olive oil, it's healthy!
All the food and the service here is totally delightful. Expensive, but not horrifically expensive like Chez Panisse or even like Citron. Just regular expensive. And soooooooooooooooooo good. Try it! They'll (apparently) bring it right to your door!
