Review content:
Fern Knoll Burial Park is a very well maintained cemetary that is truly fitting it's "park" designation in it's name. It is tucked in a wooded area, large trees everywhere, dirt roads circling around and throughout the property, and perfectly green grass throughout. The roads are easily traveled year-round regardless of vehicle type (it was just as easy to drive throughout in my little Fusion, as with the larger Explorer).
It is a gorgeous area, making visiting the graves of loved ones such a more peaceful experience ... it's as though you are strolling through a lovely park, and reflecting on the loved one. There are also little furry forest residents .... beautiful birds chirping, squirrels, deer (mind what you put out, as the deer love to chomp away the tops of the fresh flowers that people leave or plant).
You must own 6 burial plots (all right next to each other) in order to put up a monument headstone, but those who purchase fewer plots are permitted to have the flat grave markers.
There are also various sections, if you prefer to be buried in ground blessed by your specific denomination. Though the sections are not officially marked, you can easily spot them if you look at the headstones -- for example, the Russian Orthodox crosses on the stones and markers let those visiting my grandmother know they are getting close!
The staff not only maintains the grounds well, they are also wonderful when it comes time for the actual burial. The staff is very caring and supportive, making the difficult time less stressful.
A very beautifully maintained property -- and conveniently located.
