Tourists aren't total dopes. There are actually fun things to do in SF and even out in Fisherman's Wharf that are completely are completely and utterly touristic. Like taking a boat out under the Golden Gate. Doesn't matter how yokel you are, how many times you've sat in traffic inching and cursing over the thing, when you're bumping on waves, speeding under that international orange structure spray in your face, it's totally cool. Red and White is one of the companies that runs this tour. Try to find the coupons that are around the city and take your out-of-town friends on a little boat trip.
