Sean, the chef and 1/2 owner, is a genius creating incredibly delicious asian-fusion dishes that are memorable and mouth-watering. Of particular mention is the appetizer Cornfritters (a light, spicy glazed corn finger-food, the dinner entree Coriander Beef Short Ribs, and the Potato Latke for brunch.
The ambiance is perfect for conversation, and the sidewalk al fresco dining perfect for brunch on the many sunny days in this part of town, 2 blocks from Mission Dolores.
Tangerine has been particularly supportive of the community, too, donating generously to important causes.
Pros: Warm, elegant atmosphere, delicious moderate priced food
Cons: arrive early, busy on weekends, parking difficult - use lot behind Tower Records on Market
