Review content:
Called because my oil furnace was out and we didn't have heat or hot water for a least a week. Just for the call-in they were asking $300. I asked if that call-in cost was separate from the actual cost of parts and labor. I was told that they would adjust the total cost depending on any parts and labor and the call-in quote was just customary policy. I agreed and the repair person was great and got the heat and hot water working. The repair guy quoted me about $250 for parts and labor rate was about $50/hr. which he took him 4 hrs. I was expecting the bill to be about $600, which was reasonable. Three days later I got the bill and Encon charged over $900 for the job. That extra $300 was just for having them step in the house. Pretty shady and way over priced even before even look at the problem.
