Review content:
John came by on the appointed day (8-21-2017) and listened to the various noises which were 1) in the kitchen sink, and 2) in the downstairs toilet. In the case of 1) the drain pipes were inspected for the appropriate slope, dimensions and joint couplings; all appeared to be in order. The outflow of water flow was checked through the clean-out inspection port and no interference was noted. The kitchen sink was filled with a small quantity of water and then allowed to run out. When all of the water had drained out the popping noise reappeared. John advised that he would talk with his supervisor about the noise and advise us of any new information. For item 2) a loud squealing noise appeared periodically from the flush tank of the low profile TOTO toilet system. This noise would appear several minutes after the tank was filled following a flush. The customer explained that the flapper valve had been replaced two times and the noise persisted. John reinstalled the second previous TOTO flapper valve and adjusted the pull chain length and position on the flush arm as well as the final water fill height in the tank. With these adjustments the noise did not return even after the flush lever had been operated for several flushes. At the present time the squealing noise appears to have been stopped. We now look forward to hearing back from John regarding the kitchen sink popping noise and any further corrective action.
