Customers should know what a waste of money the Best Buy Geek Squad Black Tie warranty is. All employees of Best Buy will spout almost word for word the same (obviously corporate taught them the speel) benefits of the extended warranty. There is fine print (I think it's on page 3) in the policy limiting the price of any replacement you will be given if you should be unfortunate enough to have to make use of the "Geek Squad Black Tie Warranty". When we bought a TV on Black Friday and purchased the warranty and had the audio go out in under 3 months, we called the "Geek Squad" who came out, saw the problem, told us it was a circuit board problem which could not be repaired. They said to return it to the store and we were given all the pertinent information to have it exchanged. At the store we were told that we could have a refund, a 42" (instead of the 55") TV, or pay the difference on the now full price item. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR LINE selling the Black Tie warranty.
