On 9-14 2013 I was recommended by an employee to bring my car\r
to Meineke for a Clutch replacement. They took the car apart then they called and said they quoted the wrong price. They tried to double the price from $600.00 to $1200.00. After arguing back and forth, we agreed on $800.00 with an additional replacement of the motor mounts included. I was satisfied with that arrangement. Then Meineke decided it was to much work and did not do the motor mounts. 2 weeks later I have a leak so I called them, the manager said he would tow the car in and take of it. Once their he called me and told me that now the Slave Cylinder is not good because they had replaced the clutch with a heavy duty one. They quoted a price of $240.00 for a new slave cylinder and labor for $99.00. He then told me that he knew he should of changed it from the beginning but didn't want to. By not replacing it with a new one and then re-installing it improperly with the old part, it caused the part to break. I decided to take the car home. I took the slave cylinder out and found that it was all apart, my drive axles were also loose and missing lock washers. When I asked the manager why, he blamed me because I changed the tires. This is very Lousy Customer Service. I called Corporate but I have had no response. I left 3 messages.
