I have to say that I'm a bit outraged by the negativity that I have read here. My first comment has to be to those who have posted anonymously - Is it because your a coward or a lier ? I was referred to Bark and Purr by the breeder I purchased my dog from. Having never left my dog (of less than one year at the time) anywhere before, I was a bit ambivalent to do so. I was bringing my standard poodle there to be groomed and had nothing but great results. Tim the owner gave me a tour and eased my fears of leaving my dog for the first time. I did check other places such as my vet, the bigger commercial places, etc. I chose Bark and Purr Retreat based on the care my dog would receive over the others. Cost fell somewhere in between. Although my dog can't talk, I'm pretty sure that he enjoys going to the bathroom outside, in the grass rather than on scented concrete as some of the other facilities that I checked.
